Just say a poster on GangGreen, bemoaning the era the Rex Ryan era /should/ have been. He pointed out that it began with such promise, 2 AFC Championships.

I didn't have the heart to point out that you have to, you know, win the game to be AFC Champions.

Anything the Redskins can do, the Jets can do sadder. Eric Decker appeared to score on an 81-yard catch-and-run. Titans defensive lineman Jurrell Casey jawed at Geno Smith during the review, then took a swing at the quarterback.

Several Jets linemen ran to Smith's defense, and a messy scrum broke out around midfield. Decker was ruled to have stepped out of bounds before scoring. No one was ejected from the game, not even Casey, because there is no greater punishment than having to continue playing in a Jets-Titans game.

Cornerback Josh Thomas tweeted Monday that he had had his playbook and passport stolen.

“Please return stolen articles. At least return my passport and playbook. #Jets #JetsNation #HappyHolidays #Christmas,” the cornerback wrote.

A Jets spokesman said confirmed that Thomas' iPad, which contained the playbook, had indeed been stolen. It was not stolen from the team facility, he said. The team was able to wipe the iPad remotely.

Of course, this isn’t the first time this year that Jets defensive playbooks have been in the news: back in June former Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine told theMMQB.com that he suspected that the Patriots had gotten their hands on a couple copies of the team’s defensive playbook.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning a nice little coincidence: the Jets happen to play the Pats on Sunday.

Thomas is a depth cornerback who was inactive for the Jets’ 16-11 win over the Titans.

I'm not listening to the media, and I am forming my own opinion. My opinion is, this kid is more likely to end up in jail than he is to become a franchise QB. Someday, people will wake up to the fact that it doesn't matter the tiniest bit what your physical talents are if you're an idiot. Winston is an idiot, squared.

You think the Jets were trying to win? I think they might have been trying to lose but suck at that too.

Yes, he is immature, but so was Big Ben college. This franchise doesn't take enough risks; Mariano was TOO Much of a risk, Warren Sapp was TOO much of a risk; WE NEED to take risks, regardless of the consequences. And if Winston sucks? We can move on from him quickly, because of the rookie wage scale.
