Pats fans cant buy tix? (merged)

I heard on the radio that the chargers are not allowing ticket sales to anyone outside of southern california.. Is this common practice among other teams?

This is not a big deal IMO. For 1,000 tickets? They'd be sold out in seconds anyways. I've been to 17 Pats games and only twice did I get tix through Ticketmaster.

Even though the Pats claim they don't that sort of thing, in 2002 I tried to buy single-game tickets and couldn't b/c sales were restricted to the NE states, PA and NY (I live in VA).

think back to last season and all the Pittsburgh fans taking over the stadium - it is called "we must protect this house" from the opposing fans turning this into a home road game.

Opposing team fans often take over by buying tix from season ticket holders, not ticketmaster.

Steelers often take over Ravens stadium. There was a big push by the Ravens this year to remind the fans not to sell their tickets to the opposing team fans. Again, protect the house.

didn't the Colts do this last year and it got media attention? as someone else mentioned, apparently the Pats have done it. It doesn't surprise me at all, and it also makes sense that a team wants to reward its own fans with postseason tickets, not the fans of opposing teams.

all of this said i don't like it. i understand it, but i don't like it. eh, they can do whatever they want.

sometimes i think pro teams should have opposing team sections. i always loved going to away college hockey games and sitting in our own section. teams should have traveling pep bands too.

If anyone goes on Sunday just make sure you tailgate a ton outside the stadium.

Two wrongs don't make a right. The NFL owners should get together and agree to ban this type of bush league BS.

It's a tradition as old as football itself for the fans of both teams to attend games, going back to the roots of the game itself in college football clubs. At many stadiums there aer special sections devoted to fans of visiting teams. Friendly rivalries only make the game more interesting. And what of fans of the home team who live outside the team's restricted area? Are they no longer allowed to buy tickets to see their own team?

It's total BS.

Hey, the Green Bay Packers sell 100% of their tickets to season ticket holders. Want to go to any game? Have to buy the tickets 2nd hand.
