2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

look at you not understanding getting 2 snaps in a game in garbage time proves my point. Chism has too many games of "inactive" and "0 targets" and "2 offensive snaps" to convince me the staff sees something in him. now, perhaps they do. but last year they didn't.

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

Hollins did not play against the Chargers or Texans. Chism returned kicks and saw some offensive snaps If Hollins was healthy, Chism might not have been active in either playoffs game funny, you did not mention Hollins injury fwiw, in 3 games Chism played, he got 2 offensive snaps. 1 game 4...

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

JE and Welkie had a QB that was able to capitalize on their quickness and mismatches against the defense. so far, Maye is not that type of QB. Maye to date has relied on bigger targets, that are able to use their bodies and hands to make plays, rather than use their quickness to make plays...

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

Chism never over took anyone Hollins got injured. They did not want to risk Henderson. Chism returned kicks and saw some offensive snaps in 2 blow out wins If Chism were good enough, he would have played last season at the expense of Pop or Hollins.

Today In Patriots History May 12, 2022: Jarrett Stidham traded to Raiders

Brady signed a 1 year deal which included a no franchise tag clause. the Pats knew he was leaving and had 12+ months to come up with a plan. that plan ended up as Stiddy, Cam and the famous "anyone can play QB" comment from a staff member. and that my fellow posters, was the end of a dynasty...

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

vets are moving in season, every season. if Chism was good enough, Pop would have been moved

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

I agree 100% the question is how long, and where do you put a player that has potential, assuming he could get poached from the PS. If Bryant and Crownover both show potetial, and are not on the PS, are you keeping 5 or 6 WR's on the 53 man? I assume that is impossible

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

huh? when rookies are ready, and cost peanuts, vets are traded or released. no one said Chism cannot play I did post, that he did not play last year, and the reason was not because of Diggs. It was because Chism cold not beat out Boutte, Hollins, Pop and Diggs. He also could not supplant...

Today In Patriots History May 12, 2022: Jarrett Stidham traded to Raiders

Bill wanted Stiddy to start, but he wasn't up to the task. Picked up Cam in Filene's basement, starting the dynasty downfall. very poor planning for post Brady

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

the coaches might be, but stats do not bear out Diggs, coming off injury, was on a snap count early on, and played about 55% of the offensive snaps all season, including games 1 thru 8, Diggs never dipped below 50% of the offensive snaps all season. Chism never broke thru on offense, until the...

OT: Shocker of the offseason: Aaron Rodgers expected to re-sign with the Steelers tomorrow

not a popular opinion on this forum, but I believe AR is still very capable on any given week, even though age may make that impossible for an entire season. we get the schedule release in a couple of days, but we know the Steelers are on tap. I have no interest in seeing the Steelers with AR...

-does DIggs face any league discipline, even though the courts have spoken in his favor? -is Diggs plan B only if a Brown deal falls apart? -Diggs at what dollar amount? if the Chiefs offer Diggs $15m + incentives, are you matching, if Brown is on the roster? -we heard the Chiefs were in on...

Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in danger? (Vrabel + Russini)

why do we assume Vrabel and Russini are/were "a thing", when we continue to hear that Russini did this frequently with numerous other people in the sport. (maybe Vrabel did too, who knows). was this an "affair" or did they have some hook ups when their schedules crossed paths? if both of the...

2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

I think it will be hard for an UDFA to get a spot on the 53 man if; -both Bryant and Crownover show sufficient upside to not be exposed on the PS. either will be poached -Wallace shows progression on the IOL position -Miller proves adept at KR and catching the ball out of the back field sure...

PATRIOTS NEWS Rookie Mini Camp - news, notes, etc

-Crownover- can he develop quickly, given he is already 24 years old. or is he already at his ceiling? -Morton-will he show he is more up to the task than Devito? -Miller-can he return KO's and can he pass pro/catch out of the backfield? -can they find a diamond at CB? Dee Williams from...

The Value Of A First Round Draft Choice

I believe the trade up in the first round and the second round told us that the Pats believed after 7 OT's, which many of us had said prior to the draft, there was a significant drop off. With Jacas as well...we should assume after him, the Pats had a drafstic drop off at edge they can boast...

    Will Campbell's a God

the arm/wingspan issue is over blown. footwork, technique and strength are equally, if not more important. also, working in tandem with the OL next to you When Campbell did struggle, it was inside as well as outside speed. he also miscommunicated some with Wilson. I am willing to bet he cleans...

    Will Campbell's a God

that Cleve game was week 8 In week 9, against Atl, Campbell posted an overall grade from PFF of 72.1 (very good) and a pass block grade of 75 (excellent) and a run block grade of 66.2 (good)

    Will Campbell's a God

good points but while Campbell did have some very good games, and some good games, he also had a couple of bad. pre injury. will he be a player that improves year over year? I happen to think he comes back smarter, stronger, healthy, and even more determined. he strikes me as the type that has a...
