    Remaining free agents?

With the 17 game schedule depth will become more of a factor, also worth looking at available JAGs to fill the end of the roster. https://www.nfl.com/news/top-101-nfl-free-agents-of-2021-who-are-the-best-players-available As of April 22 Patriots have about $15 M of space...

Tell me a story about Marcus Mariota...

Assuming no QB falls to 15 and even if there is one available I think Mariota offers a lower floor and still has upside. His contract is a steal, 3.5 M. Pretty much a steal for pick 46 IMO

    OT

I wouldn’t be upset with an OT. Depth always looks good on paper until a starter goes down, being dominant at OL or DL is never a bad thing.

    Looks like BPA in draft

What about Marriota? Maybe he could be pried away from LVR.

    Oddly enamored with Kyle Trask

Isn’t that the usual approach after the Pats make a pick? In any car you are probably right.

    Oddly enamored with Kyle Trask

Looks like a big run at the top, if no one is left at 15 maybe the Pats trade back to the end round 1 and look at Rask. Am I crazy?

    Moehrig

It is looking like QB is the play with a trade up a strong possibility. Looking across the roster an area with question marks is Safety. At 15 Patriots would have first crack and Moehrig is the highest rated. Thoughts, opinions, emotional reactions...

    Looks like BPA in draft

Good haul in free agency fills most of the wholes, looks like BPA to fill depth and add competition.

Player Signing Cam newton resigned 1 year deal

WTF, $14M - This is the biggest piece of bull crap ever

NFL News 2021 NFL Free Agency/Trade News & Discussion: March Edition

PFF listed an updated projection of their Top 50 free agents. They had the Pats signing 1 of the top 50, WR, Curtis Samuel. Feels about right, even with ca room I expect them to be selective. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2021-free-agency-landing-spots-pffs-top-50-free-agents

DraftTek - Analysis of past drafts

DraftTek lists out the Patriots drafts from 2014, displays the Patriots picks versus their perception of value. https://www.drafttek.com/2021-NFL-Draft-Team-Pages/Patriots-Draft-Page.asp Warning: This is not for the faint of heart, the names alone will make you shudder. I had almost blocked out...

    Deceased Binkie

Vincent Jackson, one of my all time favorite binkies. Brings back memories of a 20 year plan for the Patriots to draft and develop WRs. This was part of my “Big WR” craze.

    Year of the trade up

Tavon "f--ing" Wilson Was watching the draft with a friend who smashed his smartphone into pieces when this pick was announced... IMO you can value yourself around every position except QB. Should be fun to watch.

    Year of the trade up

Add Wentz into the mix, I would trade #15 for Wentz.
  15. cstjohn17

    Year of the trade up

There you go, market has been set, with haul Detroit got for Stafford, the bidding for Watson starts at 3 firsts.. I would still consider it.
  16. cstjohn17

    Year of the trade up

It is crazy to trade up in the draft takes a ton but to trade for a veteran is generally less expensive, let's say #1 this year and next year. Houston needs draft picks and the Pats get top end QB entering his prime with a salary comparable to other top 10 quarterbacks...
  17. cstjohn17

    Year of the trade up

This could be a year to trade into the top 3-7 or trade for Watson, QB is so important I would be inclined to overpay (1st 2021, 3rd 2021, 1st 2022, 3rd 2022) about 1050, 1050, 80, 80 = 2360, again a bit of an overpay but worth it they get "their" guy...

    2021 Draft Prospects

Sigh.. certainly the earliest date I have started to look at prospects, usually I wait until the Christmas holidays. Be safe everyone.

Patrick Chung has quietly become one of the Patriots’ most valued players

Chung is great, champion, tough, does the dirty work. His only problem is his body can’t take the punishment. Hope there is football and stays healthy.

    Draft review so far

That’s what she said... Some day I will grow up... nah, screw that. Be safe folks
