Where Is The Sweet Spot For Us To Draft An LT?

I’m not a certified Campbell hater but I saw this on FB this morning and thought it was hilarious!

    Polk & Baker revival.

Both Polk and Baker will have a clean slate going into TC this summer. Hopefully they’ve put in the work during the off season to be better prepared the 2nd time around. A good chunk of the blame for last year’s debacle falls on these guys’ shoulders but last year’s coaching didn’t do those...

Abdul Carter vs LT at 4?

If Carter’s there at #4, the Pats will take him. The same goes for Hunter (Both won’t be there, but imagine if that somehow happens. Personally I think we’d prioritize Carter). If neither Carter or Hunter are there at 4, we should trade down but stay in the top 10 and take the best LT...

NFL News Official 2025 NFL Free Agency Thread

I still think there’s a good chance we’ll trade for a #1 WR prior to the draft. Diggs is still a target; obviously they didn’t sign him yesterday because he’s not far enough along in his rehab. If reports are true, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we signed him later in the spring or right...

NFL News Official 2025 NFL Free Agency Thread

It’s the persona of some posters on this forum. They’re gonna b!tch and moan no matter what. They’ll complain endlessly that we’re not spending money or not signing all-pros at every position in FA. But then when we do sign someone needed, they complain about the money or that we should‘ve sign...

    Stefon Diggs visiting Patriots

This… The guy’s just had a major knee surgery a few months ago. Who knows how that knee looks now or how it will look in a few more months.

Breer: Pats out on Robinson, considering an LT by committee approach? (Update: likely fake Reddit post)[3/19: signs w/Texans]

This is BS. There’s no way Vrabel, Wolf and Co. are doing a LT by committee. Either at #4 or via trade down, the Pats are taking a LT in the 1st rd

Breer: Pats out on Robinson, considering an LT by committee approach? (Update: likely fake Reddit post)[3/19: signs w/Texans]

That’s certainly a viable scenario too…unless Carter is somehow there at #4. The Pats won’t pass up on him.

Breer: Pats out on Robinson, considering an LT by committee approach? (Update: likely fake Reddit post)[3/19: signs w/Texans]

I can’t see them taking Membou with #4 or even a trade down because he’s never played LT in his life. It’s either they take Carter at #4 (doubt he’s there) or they trade down 3 or 4 spots and then take Campbell.

Breer: Pats out on Robinson, considering an LT by committee approach? (Update: likely fake Reddit post)[3/19: signs w/Texans]

I agree unless Carter is there at #4. As long as Carter isn’t there, I think the Pats will trade down, somewhere between 6-8, and then grab Campbell. Then they’ll move back up into the bottom half of the 1st rd to grab a WR. They could reverse it too by grabbing a WR first and then the LT (if...

Player Signing Patriots sign Center Garrett Bradbury

Honestly, it’s probably 4 out of 5 ??? Strange Brad Honestly, it’s probably 4 out of 5 ??? Strange Bradbury Onwenu Moses I’m not saying it’s an all star lineup but it’s miles ahead of last year. We’re gonna draft a LT in the 1st rd

NFL News Official 2025 NFL Free Agency Thread

Totally agree, I don’t think there’s any thought by the organization to move Strange to LT. I’m pretty sure this rumor came about here on Patsfans because Strange has similar measurables to Matt Light. I think there is a real possibility that Strange moves to C as that’s where he played to...

NFL News Official 2025 NFL Free Agency Thread

Good point…it’s also telling why we haven’t pulled the trigger on deal with him. Unless it’s purely a matter of the asking price coming down, I don’t think the Pats have any interest in Robinson otherwise he would’ve been brought in earlier in the week like our new RT.

Remaining Free Agency LT Options ... we still need to draft a guy

The Pats aren’t going to solve their LT problem via FA. Any LT that’s in FA is there because 1) he isn’t very good (JAG level) or 2) there are issues not related to on field performance. Basically you’re getting V Lowe or someone who’s oft injured and/or a malcontent. Concerning WRs…the Pats...

NFL News Official 2025 NFL Free Agency Thread

He went home to finish out his career. Good for Kupp, but 15M/yr for 3 seasons is a pretty steep price to pay for an injury prone WR who’s still good but not elite anymore. Obviously Kupp used other teams, including the Pats, as a bargaining tool to maximize his deal and finish out his career...

Player Signing Pats sign Raiders edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson

I’m pretty sure he’s being brought in to compete as a situational pash rusher. He’ll get his snaps on 3rd and long if he makes it out of camp. It’s a pretty cheap, 1yr prove it deal, so there’s almost nothing for the Pats to lose here and a lot to gain if he pans out and produces. Who knows...

Add Jarvis Green to that mix. That’s the best Pats Dline ever

Patriots Player Departure Mike Reiss: David Andrews to be released (3/13 update: released)

Who knows if this is true or not, butr no one really should be surprised by this. He’s a 10yr vet coming off a season long injury. Honestly, he was a JAG Center his last few years so it’s not like he irreplaceable. If true, Strange will be given every opportunity to be our C for the...

Patriots Player Departure Schefter: Nick Leverett released

Leverett has been a turnstile all season. No suprise he’s gone. The rest of the interior OL, including the new C, has performed better than him which is really saying something as bad as our OL has been; especially in pass protection. I believe this also signifies that Strange is on his way back.
