Gronk is 29, competitive, and probably still the best TE in the NFL. He is also not even close to as interesting, funny, or marketable as he thinks he is off the field. When I put those two things together, I don’t see how he doesn’t come back after giving his body a rest.

I loved Junior as a player. The documentary is just sad, but not particularly illuminating or interesting. I thought teammate and fellow CTE sufferer Gary Plummer had the best take: Junior had issues independently, but they were also likely exacerbated by the CTE.

Police and prosecutors don’t exercise discretion on which laws to enforce and which violations to prosecute? That’s virtually all they do. Discretion is mandated by limited resources but also by the importance of police/community relations. You’ve never gotten a break on a speeding ticket?
