OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

That's not exactly accurate, she said that while they were together she was advised not to go to the cops for fear he'd be fired. Legally the families acts are neither here nor there as far as OSU and the investigation goes. Morally it's another story. She said after they broke up she told...

That's why they investigate. If the AD is in deeper trouble that means the info was passed on and UM did his due diligence.

Pats sign Decker for a year.

Per Reiss Tommy got a birthday gift, it's official. Who's hotter Jessie James or Gisele?

Pats sign Decker for a year.

The Pats tend to be very careful with physicals.

An interesting record Brady will likely break this season:

Do Bridget Moynahan and Gisele count?

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

Meyer is contractually obligated to report it. Just as Briles, Pitino and Paterno etc were contractually obligated to report the various violations. It appears he had good reason to suspect as the woman was covered with bruises. He probably could have fired Smith, but reporting was his only...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

Middle ground? He could have reported it in a way that cast doubt on it. He's catching the major heat for being the top of the iceberg. So were Biles and Pitino.

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

I work for the US military, I'm sure that's not just universities. My office has similar codes and the further you go up the chain the greater the potential responsibility for not going through proper channels. Bottom line don't ignore it. ETA I'm sure there has to be some credibility...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

If you report it up the channel, that's different than it being investigated. Something that is suspected might only be recorded. But it's on record and if it happens again would have more weight. Same as if my neighbor threatened me. I reported it, the cops did nothing but record it, but...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

No idea, but I'd wager sexual harassment or assault, and any felony or NCAA rule violation are part of it.

He's legally obligated by his contract.

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

It would depend on several things including: Are they legally required to do so? Who are they required to report it to, if required? (Can telling Meyer but not their immediately superior be enough.) Did they properly report it and it was ignored? Meyer was Z. Smith's superior, unless he...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

This is part of why they are legally obligated to report it to higher authorities at the university in this case OSU. It should get to the proper body Title 9 officer or even police/courts. They do the investigation. Being punished over allegations is extremely unfair and damaging. Due...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

It APPEARS he did not do what he is compelled to do by law, that is report it up the chain. If that is found to be true be could be fired or face other penalties. Until this is resolved one way or another, he will most likely not be moving on to another position. My opinion is he ignored...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

If Meyer covered this up he broke the frikkin' law. . This is not about political correctness or Puritanical doctrine. It's doing what you are legally obligated to do. And it wouldn't have taken a lot to have obeyed the law - period!

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

Meyer might be able to fire an assistant for many reasons. In this case all Meyer legally had to do is report it up the chain for any violation he is aware of. From that point on it's up to the officials at OSU to investigate and/or report to other authorities. Any cover up is totally illegal...

OT: Urban Meyer put on paid leave by Ohio State.

Meyer is going no where soon. He turned a deaf ear to clear domestic violence. Something he is contractually obligated to report. After he reports it, it's up to his superiors at OSU to take further action. If he does that much he's not obligated to do more. This is not nearly as bad as...

Unfortunate: Jordan Matthews put on IR

Chris Price has consistently had Dorsett in Brady's 'circle of trust'. I don't know where he fits on the slot, but it seems he'll be a target.

Book claims that Brady was furious with Kraft after Deflategate.

There's definitely something to this, but the other owners wanted them to get screwed, and Rog being the man of integrity he is went along with the majority. He also could have gone Jerruh on Rog and gotten no where.
