If it’s truly nearing the end of an era...

It has been a great run. But that run doesn't have to end simply because Brady leaves or retires. We can rebuild and have a chance as long as we play smart, hungry, and stay dedicated to winning above ego. If you can win a championship scoring 13 points, then even Tim Tebow could lead a talented...

    Tom Brady: an honest take

It comes down to the contract and the team's long-term goals. With a 43 year old Tom Brady, we will claw our way to mediocrity at the very least if he stays healthy. However, Tom wants -- and NEEDS -- to be an elite talent on an elite team or he gets easily frustrated. If Brady would resign for...

    Congrats to Brian Flores

Today was a bitter pill to swallow. But congrats to Brian Flores for coaching the Dolphins to a great second half of the year. That squad played with Patriots grit. The Patriots, on the other hand, look like they need to stop pouting. Hopefully we haven't seen the end of Bill's effectiveness as...

Patriots Pregame Thread We are on to Wild Card Round, vs Tennessee

I hope this game sends Bill the message we need a reload for the roster. There is no point in continuing with half of this squad, 12-4 or not, since we would be 8-8 this year with a tough schedule. We might go 7-9 next year with that brutal schedule unless something is done. Maybe it is time to...

Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread- Week 17 Dolphins @ Pats

Energy is a weak point on this team. I'm not sure if the team feels entitled to more dominance after winning a Super Bowl. This is a meaningful game and we should be playing with the same intensity as against the Bills.

Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread- Week 17 Dolphins @ Pats

It is discouraging to sit on the ball before the half. But this offense only chugs down the field when it has balance between run and pass. With a limited amount of time and Brady's elbow looking suspect, I guess Belichick worried that the odds were higher for his quarterback throwing another...

    Toughest road ever?

I suspect we'll play loose against teams who've beaten us since we'll be the underdogs. No one expects us to beat the Ravens on their turf and, even if we lose, they are a respectable opponent to end our season against if we keep things respectable. There won't be any media pressure with the...

How has nobody signed Dez Bryant

I'd settle for receivers who don't rape, beat, or threaten women and children. That is a low bar; but, here we are.

    NFL News Antonio Brown Update

Echoing Skip Bayless, N’Keal Harry is this team's ray of hope. If Harry can be that second receiving option who we feature on the outside, Sanu can be more of a situational player on the inside as the no. 3. This would mean Dorsett can be no. 4 and work on not being a ghost. And Jacobi Meyers...

    NFL News Antonio Brown Update

The question now is whether Brown is more or less radioactive than Kap.

I'm Finally Convinced: This is Brady's Last Year in New England

We don't need a plan for rebuilding the offense but the whole team. An offensive rebuild is going to take a number of years and a couple tries at drafting a quarterback. In that time, the defense will age with players like Hightower, the McCourty twins, and Collins retiring or moving on in free...

I'm Finally Convinced: This is Brady's Last Year in New England

Unless we see a return to peak form from Brady in the final weeks and playoffs, then I'd rather press the reset switch this offseason than have another year or two of encroaching mediocrity. I'd also be happy to have an average Brady if we can sign Beckham and/or a few stellar offensive linemen...

I'm Finally Convinced: This is Brady's Last Year in New England

And then lose because of poor coaching. He's also going to have to wrap his mind around not even winning the division because of the Chiefs.

    A Note to Bob Kraft

Maybe posting the note on the door of all the local massage parlors might get Kraft's attention. Probably on the inside of the door for when he leaves, though, since he'll be in a rush getting in since his back is really killing him.

Patriots Have More Trouble With the Officials Than Chiefs In Loss

You point out that the Patriots did not score enough points due to multiple factors, citing their poor possessions and awful officiating for the loss. My whole point in earlier posts was that we should not blame the officiating as the primary reason for the loss, with me stating, "The...

Patriots Have More Trouble With the Officials Than Chiefs In Loss

The defense was fantastic most of the game. But the stretch they didn't certainly hurt because we couldn't even reach 17. If the offense can improve, as we've all been hoping for a while, then the defense could limit the Chiefs to 20 in the playoffs and help us squeak out a win.

Patriots Have More Trouble With the Officials Than Chiefs In Loss

I did. If I recall correctly, we struggled across most of it on offense, threw a bad pick, and had some trouble on defense in the first half. The officiating was terrible but I don't think that's what cost the game compared to not playing well. I guess we can play excuse bingo. If this were...

PostGame Thread Official Post Game Thread - Chiefs Beat the Pats

I could be wrong but I don't remember any of the refs signalling touchdown.

Patriots Have More Trouble With the Officials Than Chiefs In Loss

The Patriots put up 9 points in the final three quarters. Even if you add four more points for the Harry touchdown play, that's only 13 against a talented Chief offense after the first quarter. I don't see how this loss is on the refs when we failed to make plays for most of the game.
