Can we take a second to appreciate Michael Thomas’ catch percentage?

Ok so no one’s close. Got it. And what’s so special about the Saints offense which makes this possible? He has Drew Brees? No one else on that offense is catching passes at the same rate as Thomas. What about offenses with quarterbacks that are doing just as good this year, like the Chiefs...

Can we take a second to appreciate Michael Thomas’ catch percentage?

Today’s NFL? What other number 1 receiver is doing it in today’s NFL? Or even coming close?

Can we take a second to appreciate Michael Thomas’ catch percentage?

There’s a difference between a number 1 receiver having a high catch percentage in a system like the Saints and not catching less than 10 passes through half the season and having a catch rate of over 90% for the majority of the season. It’s definitely something that can be appreciated

Can we take a second to appreciate Michael Thomas’ catch percentage?

Right now he’s had 79 targets thrown his way and he’s caught 70 of them for an 89% catch percentage. I can’t remember the last time a #1 WR had a catch percentage like that. The crazy thing is that for most of the season his catch percentage has been over 90% so this is really his season low...

    We're On to Tennessee

Honestly Brady’s Real Quarterback Rating (Passer Rating with sacks, rushes, rushing td’s, and fumbles thrown in) on the road this year is scary and not in a good way. It’s only an 85.0. (For a comparison, Drew Brees has a 104.4 Rating on the road this season). His game against the Bears was a...

An Interesting Article [Are we seeing Brady's inevitable decline?]

They have 101 Targets in 8 games this season which comes out to 12.63 Targets per game. Our running backs are on pace for 202 Targets this season. Last year they had 158 Targets in 16 games which comes out to 9.88 Targets per game. The Patriot’s RBs this year are on pace to have almost 50...

An Interesting Article [Are we seeing Brady's inevitable decline?]

No there’s actually been a big jump in Targets to running backs this year.

An Interesting Article [Are we seeing Brady's inevitable decline?]

2018: -WR = 134 Targets. 96 Rec. 71.6% completion rate. Targeted 47.3% out of all positions on passes. -TE = 48 Targets. 33 Rec. 68.8% completion rate. Targeted 17% out of all positions on passes. -RB/FB = 101 Targets. 70 Rec. 69.3% completion rate. Targeted 35.7% out of all positions. 2017...

Patriots Pregame Thread We’re on to Green Bay

I think I can help put some things into perspective for this game. I did power rankings for every team this week, looking at how they play at home/on the road, depending where they’re playing this week. The stats I look at are home/away record, their Intelligence Index, and their Total Team...

Content Post idle thoughts - The Ugly edition.

Teams that score inefficiently usually do play from behind a lot.

A team having more yards doesn’t equate to a better offense at all though. In fact it’s bad that they gain more yards. What statistics point to actually being a better offense?

Content Post idle thoughts - The Ugly edition.

Yards are entirely useless. A better basic stat to look at is points. Patriots have 239 points which is 29.9 PPG, they’re ranked 4th in league. They’re also on pace for 478 points this season. The Packers have 175 points which is 25.0 PPG, they’re ranked 13th in league. They’re on pace for...

Content Post idle thoughts - The Ugly edition.

The Packers do not have, in any way shape or form, a statistically better offense than the Pats

OT- How good is Peyton Manning all time?

Not sure if I'd say Manning is a better regular season qb than Brady tbh

OT- How good is Peyton Manning all time?

Yeah I mentioned the AAFC was vastly inferior to the NFL.

OT- How good is Peyton Manning all time?

When it comes to Paul Brown and being the greatest coach in football history has to do not just with winning, his innovations and coaching tree was insane. His two biggest innovations were inventing the playbook and using game film to scout opponents. His coaching tree had Chuck Noll, Don Shula...
