James Foster & Cory Kinnen discuss Clev Lubin, Taylor Wein and Boubacar Traore.

The discussion on Lubin that starts off the video is really interesting. They talk about his limitations as a run defender and highlight his lack of length ultimately calling him a DPR, but there's a lot to like from the way they ralk about him, particularly James.

And here's Kinnen and Foster on: Dylan Stewart, Colin Simmons and Yhonzae Pierre

And on Matayo Uiagalelei, Kenyatta Jackson and Will Heldt.

Interesting that Foster and Kinnan had Pierre along with Dylan Stewart and Colin Simmons as 1st round EDGE guys.

To be fair, I think they were just going by consensus rankings. They said so in the third video. But James does have Pierre third.

James on Will Heldt. Starts at 16.34 in the 2nd video.

Notes

Mid 2nd round grade

Weaknesses all physical limitation. Very few skill weaknesses.

Exceptional hand usage. Swift block deconstruction.

Strings moves together consistently.

Sets up moves exceptionally well.

Inconsistent bend but more flexible than expected for his height.

Doesn't overwhelm tackles with athleticism.

Really good diagnosis in run game.

Revved up motor.

Kinnan adds he has one of the hottest motors he's seen among edge rushers this year.

Bendy and explosive! might be a good compliment to what we have already.

Clev Lubin still being disrespected. Sshhh!

Some EDGE notes from Sam Teets from his early top-200 list yesterday:

126. Will Heldt, Edge Clemson

Heldt has the size and power to be an edge-setting 4-3 defensive end, but he lacks the burst, bend, and true game-changing play strength to elevate above being a rotational prospect. Even his anchor at the point of attack is more inconsistent than widely acknowledged. Heldt’s motor covers for many of his shortcomings, but he lacks diverse ways to win as a rusher and is not a special run defender.

155. Anthony Smith, EDGE, Minnesota

156. Kenyatta Jackson Jr., Edge Ohio State

Jackson, Will Heldt, and Anthony Smith are three prospects with 4-3 defensive end size who just lack the traits to back up some of the hype they’ve received over the past two years. Jackson sports excellent arm length that helps him set the edge and set up long-arms or speed to power. However, he’s a high-hipped, stiff athlete with a disappointing power profile relative to his frame. His bull rushes often die on contact, and he lacks the counters to revive his attack. For a redshirt senior, Jackson’s pass rush plan is surprisingly underdeveloped.

Ross may be the most interesting EDGE prospect for me going into 2026. Bendy and explosive, indeed.

Sam Teets has him at 13. That's a huge projection, but the physical tools are there.
I like the idea of him, Cole, Lubin or Pierre as complimentary, but contrasting, pieces to Jacas and Jones.

Cole a bit different since he can fill
multiple roles, but I agree that a speed rusher coming off the edge would compliment Jacas and Jones.

I see Cole as someone who can play WILL on downs 1&2 and then lineup on the EDGE on 3rd down and then can either be used as a pass rusher on 3rd down or dropping into coverage on a LB blitz as a simulated pressure. Not religiously, we wouldn't need to be that rigid, but that's the kind of profile I see out of him.

I agree, in general.

Cole's versatility stands out. He could end up being a jack-of-all-trades, but I don't think so. I think your scenario is ideal, but I could also see him playing MIKE/single LB in some amoeboid and dime packages, or even as a Safety.

Would love Cole plus one of Ross/Pierre/Lubin, but doubt we'll have that luxury.
