Well the Pats didn't put themselves in the Greatest position passing on all the 2026 WR's in the Draft.

I think they could agree at that time but the paperwork can't go to the league until tomorrow morning when the league offices open. It's a sort of Glengarry/Glen Ross situation. So they could announce things in the media, but they'd probably wait the extra day for the circus to begin.

IMO if you think it's a late first rounder, say idk 24-32, you take the deal in a heartbeat. But if you think maybe you're in for a reality check season and you're not making the playoffs, we're talking about a top 18 pick which IMO is too rich. Maybe the hold up is "guessing" or gauging the quality of the pick they could be sending
 
Let me hold myself accountable now by saying if a deal doesn’t get done, I’ll assume it’s because the Pats didn’t want to give up a 2027 1st and Philly insisted. I’ll be fine with them passing. Honestly, I’d be fine with them holding firm on zero 1st’s.

I like the player, but value discipline and also **** Roseman.

It's more than just Roseman... Brown doesn't like Nick Sirianni *sideline disagreements*. He's not staying another day in Philly... Brown hold all the cards.
