Vrabel's Press Conference 5/27

For anyone who missed it, here's the transcript:
Seems like they're Coaching up Kyle Williams to be more than just a One Trick Pony. Maybe that's one of the reasons why they passed on WR all Seven Rounds. IF KW can expand his Route tree we are in business.

The ONLY guy I'm disappointed at not being at the OTA's is Dixon because I want to see this kid on the field with NFL players. As for Boutee and Gonzo, I could give 2 ****s about them missing a shorts and T-shirt practice in May.

Disappointed about Jacas. Rookies need all the lead time they can get.

Not surprising. They are on par with the National Enquirer
I thought Vrabel handled himself well. He will have to weather the storm. It will get less and less each presser
...and the ŴWE and their "in depth" discussions about upcoming matches.

I agree with all of the above.

To me he was like a hockey goalie in a practice session, routinely swatting away the pucks heading towards his goal.

You could see the light go off in his head briefly as he figured out what angle the reporter was using to try to get him to say something that could be turned into click bait, but in a fraction of a second he's figured out how to deflect the shot.

From all outward appearances he's managed to keep Mrs V on-board, but who really knows for sure?

He is towing a fine line right now. He would love to come out and say “It’s a family matter so leave me the hell alone”. But he would come off as pompous and minimizing having an affair. The press would run with it.
So he bites his lip and dances around the question by saying he loves his family and is happy to be able to coach up the players he has in front of him. That is his priority right now
Eventually they will all ask it in one way or another and it will become stale.

Not surprising. They are on par with the National Enquirer
I don't know ... I get people weren't thrilled that topic was mentioned, but Mike Reiss wrote that article.

I am surprised with that. I like Reiss. How many times can they ask the same question.
Juicy drama sells these days

People online are *****ing that the Boston media let Vrabel off light with the Russini thing. The thing is they are sports reporters, not gossip columnists. I doubt any of them are willing to ask things about the affair.

But I always said this story wouldn't last. Patriots haters won't let it go. The rest of the world will have all but forgotten completely about it by kick off in September.

Actually I thought Giardi was a pain in the aaa, talk football. On the other hand, there was something about Vrabel that didn't sit well with me, couldn't put a name on it, maybe a little wimpy.
