How Drake Has been Supported this Offseason!

without seeing any one on the field yet, I continue to believe Lomu and Rairdon are 2027 picks more so than 2026.

but having Vera-Tucker between Campbell and Wilson is huge.
adding Gilliam and Hill is also huge

If Brown is here, along with Doubs makes this WR group very, very good

how will Maye respond to year 2 in McD's system?
will he minimize sacks and emphasize throw aways?

I am not sure what you are trying to say here. You are saying Doubs is a bad signing as a starting receiver because he messed up on one (1) special teams play (not as a receiver) in one (1) regular season game for a different team?
That is exactly what the Facebook News Network is saying, yes.

Obviously, the potentially improved OL/FB/TE/Run game is the key that’ll dictate our offensive augmentation, but adding AJ & Big Head is giving me Week 2 2019 vibes. Big Head is a very underrated receiver. McDaniels will unlock his potential. Not saying I necessarily want Maye to throw 40+ TDs this season, but he potentially could throw that many with the weapons they/will have acquired.

You're absolutely correct wozzy was just making a point to triumph.
Wozzy was just making a point to WIN ( ???? )

[edit: joke explanation in case was hard to understand & only funny to me ... Proper names are Initial Capped in English: that is Triumph.]

A couple of thoughts based on this video, Thanks BTW,....

1. Doubs´ head looks a lot smaller in White helmet. .... Can we bring back Pat Patriot?

2. What # is he going to have (already has?) ? .... I mean could he really ask for and be given 87?

I can't believe I misspelled the one and only Triumph wrong.. .. to Wozzy's mention about the defense being played on one of Diggs and JSN...

The way Doubs runs routes definitely feels like a fit for the McDaniels scheme. He will be a great Z/slot to go along with Brown primarily at X. Williams and Hollins are probably the other two locks who are both versatile, and then Boutte/Douglas/Chism/the UDFAs scrapping for the last one or two roster spots.

Seems on-brand for Triumph.

This Offseason as fans I believe we all should be encouraged. Last season the culture Implementation and the Unexpected success has Re-established a winning culture where the players learned from winning as opposed to losing.

Vrabel went out and got guys to support Drake and The offense and On defense as well. Hear me out....

Vera-Tucker was an immense pick up and a huge need. Provided he can remain healthy the OL has been stabilized. R. Gilliam at FB super huge! A FB finally back in the offense that can move guys and help actually pick up a half yard on the goal line!

Hill the blocking TE was another nice pick up!

Romeo Doubs! A guy who is one of the top WRs against man coverage at 6'2 can run every route, catch in traffic and has the attitude and mentality to become better under McDaniels.

The defense... Dremont Jones was another nice pick up a guy who coveted NE and loves Vrabel. Who can play inside and outside and on all 3 downs.

Byard at FS another huge pick up! At 33 coming off an All pro season and hasn't lost a step. Perfect pick up!

The pass rush helps Drake and the offense by creating sacks on 3rd down, sack fumbles, INTS, pick 6s. Ect. This is what will help Drake and the offense have more scoring opportunities and keep opposing QBs on the sidelines.

Gonzo, Davis and Jones will be able to sit on routes and have much more opportunities to make plays on the ball wich was sorely lacking last year.

The Draft!

Caleb Lomu

a big physical OT who fills a need and will be the Successor to Moses if not sooner depending on camp!

Gabe Jacas ( my favorite pick)
A Jadeveon Clowney prototype who at 6'4 can play the run, the pass and set the edge has a relentless motor and projects to be a starter opposite Jones!

Eli Raridon

At 6'6 a athletic TE who can go over the middle and Go up and get it in traffic. Will learn from Hunter Henry and should play a nice role this season.

although we had other draft picks of course I'm just mentioning our top 3 as I feel they have the best chances of being most impactful this season presumably.

The overal depth Heading into mini and training camps is much better and Drake projects to have a better Running Game and a defense that gets pressure and gets the Ball back to him more often.

All these things Mentioned all Support top 5 QB Drake.

What Do you as a fans like best about our Additions?
Great thread Twin: Having TE's who can actually Block adds a certain dynamic to our Offense. I hate it when Teams use Offensive Lineman in that role: it makes our Offense somewhat limited the D most times don't account for that Big Tackle. Unless that Tackle is special Athleticlly

I am going to be watching the TE's closely in TC: we need a couple to step up. H Henry is closing in on Fossil territory.

We should have Never moved on from Jakobi Meyers. IF Diggs can do that A.J. should easily top that and more. Also Diggs is lower level WR 2 at this point in his career. So, to the so called experts: see how acquiring A.J. makes sense.

Twin.. the reality is can you imagine with the Vrabel situation and then the coverage of Diggs now?... it was probably best the organization parted ways.. I think Diggs was great during the regular season.

Boston Buzzer has been talking up Chism going on 2 camps.

His word is gold.

Great post Real Fan! I would've liked to have seen if Pierce made it to FA. If I had to chose, I'd rather sign Pierce than Doubs. Doubs has shown flashes, but has disappointed after he roasted Stephon Gilmore in the 2023 Wild Card game. I thought that game was going to be his coming out party going forward.

I don't feel comfortable with Wilson at C at all, but Lindenbaum was way overpaid.

Pats needed better blocking at TE and hopefully they got it with the FA and draft pick.

AVT at G is better than nothing, but his injury history scares me. If he goes down, Pats are in trouble.

Taking a T in the 1st round was the right thing to do.

Defense is pretty much the same aside from Byard, Jones and Jacas being the most significant additions.

What's the difference between Edelman's team leading 850 yards when they won the Super Bowl in 2018, versus Jakobi Meyers 866 team leading yards when they won 8 games? Oh yeah, the team was better in 2018.

Also Julian Edelman is a #1 WR now? We really have to define what that is exactly. Somebody has to lead the team in receiving.

But hey... imagine what AJ Brown is going to do with Drake. Should be explosive.

Pierce was too expensive for what he was.

Wilson put a lot of good football on tape, especially for a rookie.

They got at least a consistent one comparable to Hooper in Julian Hill. They potentially have a much bigger and more powerful blocker in CJ Dippre, we'll see if he has developed and worked had this offseason.

This is true, but drafting a tackle who could probably play anywhere now is great insurance. They also have some depth with Crownover, Bryant and this Rizy kid.

Agreed.

Better even, especially if they can find a big NT somewhere to replace Tonga's snaps.
