Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
IF K Boutte is included the compensation should only be a Second. Regarding Pop it shouldn't matter: Pop and two biscuits shouldn't move the needle.

Even if BootyTime isn't included, the compensation should be only a 2nd-rounder anyway, tops.

And why should we give them one of our own WRs? Fecals still have plenty of them in the building.

Possible trade-down with Arizona so they can draft Ty Simpson ahead of the Jete...? I'd do it, unless Caleb Lomu's still available...
I could certainly see a trade down. I think they’d rather take several players in rounds 2 through 4. Their plethora of 6th round picks will be trade chips to move up some in the middle rounds.

I was trying to come up with a "trade up" just to 25 if there's a run on OT and there's someone we like, but even just that move would essentially cost us our 3rd round pick or our two 4ths just to get to 27 - let alone our 2nd round pick to get to #20

Seems to me there's more value on keeping those picks than trading up

Much depends on the discussion with Vrabel-Moses on how much Moses wants to play this year, instead of retiring.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of trading-Up in the 1st round either. Way too ex-pensive for my taste.

2nd and 4th in 2027, which is being spoken about as a potential all time great draft class?

I’ll pass.

We don’t NEED Brown, but Philly NEEDS to move him.
That's why we are in the driver's seat.. we don't NEED.. AJ.. but he's available so reasonable measures are likely being made to Aquire him... it's imminent.

Trading up to my mind is not on. There is just just not enough top talent to make it worth loosing picks later on for. I'm open to trade down though.

I will consider a trade involving Doubs, Boutte or Williams a failure. I will most likely be stepping away from the site for a few weeks if that happens.

2027 2nd rounder and that is it

Or 3rd rounder and Douglas

IS A.J. BROWN STILL WORTH A 1ST-ROUND PICK? I still think Howie Roseman wants to trade A.J. Brown, but I’m starting to get the sense he won’t be getting a 1st-round pick in return. Let’s have an honest talk about Brown. He’ll be 29 in June, and he’s now three years removed from his last elite season. We keep hearing whispers about his knees not being in the best shape and that’s all on top of the obvious distractions and drama he brings to whatever team he’s on. Is he still an elite wide receiver? I think he’s still really good, but he’s also the only NFL WR to drop three passes in a playoff game in the last five years. He's not what he used to be. First-round picks are the lifeblood of any franchise’s future, and when you make an honest assessment of where Brown is right now as a football player are you going to give up a 1st-round pick and an opportunity to add a 22- or 23-year-old player with his whole career in front of him on a rookie deal for A.J.? I think maybe not. So the question becomes is Howie willing to unload Brown and move on for maybe 2nd- and 4th-round picks in 2027? Probably. I know one thing. If the Eagles draft a wide receiver in the first or second round later this week it’s going to be hard to reconcile that with Brown being an Eagle in 2026. I know Howie has been playing down the connection between the additions of Elijah Moore, Hollywood Brown and Dontayvion Wicks to Brown’s future, and he pretty much has to. But if he takes a WR early, now you’re talking about adding four WRs to the room in the span of a month, and I just don’t think you do that if you expect Brown to be back.

So basically what everyone's been saying this whole time lol. Glad Philly fans are catching up...

Absolutely!!! As you drafted Boutte & Williams guys that are coming up in the system. And You targeted doubs in FA he wanted to be here and play with Drake and be coached hard! Those are the types of guys you keep in the organization.
