2026 Mock Draft Thread

So close. If I'm not getting Miller or Max at 31 I am trading back every time.

Don't understand adding Bentley when you drafted Delp. Bentley will be 26 before the end of the league year and is lacking as a blocker.

Don't understand the double-dip at WR.. It's not that great of a class and the Pats already have 4 locks there.. Unless you think they are going to carry 6 WR again.. but then, why double dip at TE when it's clear you think they'll carry 4.

Gentry is an intriguing pick since he's 6'7 and a ILB. Watched him make a run stop from standing still to full speed diagnosis and hold it to a short gain in a split second.. and he was on the opposite side of the line..

looking around on different sites and thought I would run one.

I'm sure Manx loves it because he's a bigtime Mesidor fan. I personally don't care for Mesidor. Don't care for Ted Hurst either.

I don't see Rutledge lasting until 63, but he did in your draft, so it's a good pick. Not sure you need to take a 2nd IOL since Trost doesn't play center and there is no room on the 53 for 6 IOL unless you think the Pats will dump Onwenu..

I don't think it's a bad draft..

When I asked about the Baylor QB, I wasn't knocking the pick. I was honestly curious if you knew. Because I don't.
Remember people were warning about taking Drake because of the UNC QB failures.
I never buy that narrative.
When was the last time a QB from Texas Tech was any good before Mahomes, or a QB from Wyoming before Josh?

Thank you.
I am a huge Mesidor fan. Liked him more than Bain on UM's D line. Coming into this draft season, he was my top binkie. I doubt there is any way he will be there at 31 but on the Mock draft database there he was. I also don't think Rutledge will be there at 63, but in the simulator he was. I have never seen Hurst play but I know some on here whose opinions I respect really like him. It was between he and Malachi Fields and I went with Hurst when both were available. Although he has the short arms that some fear, I feel Trost could play G or T at least well enough to back up at both positions and I think the Pats will like his Run block ability at least well enough to take a late round flier on him. Go to camp and between he and Rutledge and the incumbents, see who balls out. The fact that I feel Trost can also play T, might help him make the 53. The rest are mostly my favorite players still on the board at that time. Had a choice between Randall and Leveon Moss. Went with the bigger back even though many people have Moss ranked higher.

As a reminder, some people questioned Andy Dalton's chances of success as a ginger QB.

Dane brugler just posted his mock draft.

New England Patriots

1 (31). Blake Miller, OT, Clemson
2 (63). De’Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss
3 (95). Bryce Boettcher, LB, Oregon
4 (125). Max Llewellyn, edge, Iowa
4 (131). Nate Boerkircher, TE, Texas A&M
5 (171). Dalton Johnson, S, Arizona
6 (191). Jeremiah Wright, G, Auburn
6 (198). Andre Fuller, CB, Toledo
6 (202). Cyrus Allen, WR, Cincinnati
6 (212). J’Mari Taylor, RB, Virginia

Bryce Boettcher LB10 Oregon
A baseball-to-football convert who plays fast, but will need the right NFL scheme.

I haven't seen Llewellyn that high before, but I do like him. Not elite at anything but pretty good at everything

It was already posted on the Pundit Mock Draft Thread.

Why 2 RBs? And I suspect Moore and Delp will both be gone a round earlier.
Randall was there at 212 so just took him as a KR.

These mocks all have real choices per team behind them, they're legit simulations. What happened in this one isn't impossible but was good luck. In almost every pick the guy I wanted was there, barely.

Of course, there were several other mocks that weren't good that I discarded. It's like playing the slots.

What I've found to be a successful approach is that if you can get one of the two OT's at 31, gamble and not go Edge at 63 but rather take the best DL or RB remaining. The biggest surprise in this one wasn't Moore/Delp, but Price being there at 63, that guy's a game changer. Then hope there's a leftover premier Edge at 95 (sometimes Barham is available, this time it was Moore, often you strike out). There's always a decent TE at 125. Payne seems like the most impactful DB by the late 4th. Marshall, Keenan, and Kelly would all make the team. McAlister is a prayer, Randall is for KR and a chess piece for Josh, and Taylor a PS guard.
