Why not both? This team made the Super Bowl last year. We are building for 2026, not 2031.

I'm pretty sure the Patriots offer is a 2nd rounder. And since the trade can't happen until June 1st it's gonna be 2027 picks as well. This is a MASSIVE overpay. This is a deal that only Howie Roseman's best friend would postulate, or someone who hates the Pats and wants them to screw themselves. And I'm trying to be nice about it. I'd be hesitant to offer a 27 2nd and Douglas or Chism.
Thankfully nothing like this will EVER happen,
So should we trade every 2026 draft pick for veterans that are more likely to contribute this year?
Totally selling out the future eh?If various teams offered great value for each of our draft picks, then absolutely we should.
Thank goodness, given your even more ridiculous and totally disastrous suggestion in response.Of course, your ridiculous hypothetical is not even remotely in the realm of possibility, which only serves to show how poor your thesis is.
I would evaluate each trade on a case-by-case basis, but absolutely no draft pick is untouchable.Totally selling out the future eh?

We might throw in a guy like Douglas or Chism as a sweetener. I would hope we can keep Boutte but we shall see.
Maybe the Eagles would just prefer an extra 4th round pick over a player at the end of the day.
Nope. I'm saying they might prefer an extra 4th round pick to a player swap. Are you arguing that Douglas or Chism might be worht as much as a 4th rounder to PHI?
You said you would trade all the draft picks. That’s what “every draft pick” would be. That’s not the same as saying you would trade any draft pick. Only a moron would fail to see the difference.I would evaluate each trade on a case-by-case basis, but absolutely no draft pick is untouchable.
Only a moron would consider that a "totally disastrous" strategy.
I said I would be willing to trade every draft pick if the right deal was offered for each of them but I also stated that it just wasn’t in the realm of possible that we made roughly 10 deals with 10 different teams. I said every trade would have to be evaluated on a case by case basis and no pick, or groupings of picks, are untradeable if the right deal comes along..You said you would trade all the draft picks.
Awwwwww….. did I hurt the poor widdle crybully’s feeling?? The poor baby throws out insults but can’t take ‘em….That’s what “every draft pick” would be. That’s not the same as saying you would trade any draft pick. Only a moron would fail to see the difference.
Maybe you didn’t clearly express what you meant, but that’s no reason for calling me a moron. There’s really no reason to call anyone a moron, except attempted kindergarten playground insults.
Another wr for the eagles

The only guy who is arguably worth the 4th is Boutte because we drafted him with a 4th but we probably want to keep him if possible.
Ok I stand corrected. I always thought Boutte was a 4th round pick. Didn't realize we got him in the 6th. I guess maybe his draft buzz was more in the 4th but he slipped downwards.Boutte was a sixth round pick.
It's the offseason so all kinds of rumors are flying around. The past few days there has been speculation that AJ Brown could be traded. And guess what our Patriots could be his final destination.
Article: A.J. Brown trade rumors: Steelers, Patriots among 5 best fits, likely landing spots for Eagles WR | Sporting News
There's no doubt a bona fide #1 might take this offense to the next level. Obviously OL is still the biggest need but we also didn't do much with our pass catchers when facing elite defenses. Diggs was very quiet in the playoffs. But so was Maye. Perhaps AJ Brown can be the difference maker.
How much would he cost. Our 1st round pick or would it be a 2nd plus extras?
Finally Brown might need a new contract if he comes over. The way it is structured now is very weird. He only counts for 1m in salary but his option bonuses are 17m, 21m, and 26m respectively going forward. What in the world does this mean cap-wise?
Alrighty then. This definitely confirms AJ moving on.
That's what Vrabel said.Anyone still in doubt should probably go blow off some steam with Diana in Sedona…Nailed it..
