2026 Draft: WR

I like Fields in Rd2/3 as a potential upgrade to Mack Hollins. Big body possession type. But I kind of like Brazzell better if he lasts to round 2. That 4.37 speed paired with 6’4 198 lb frame offers elite size speed combo.
Run away from Brazzell those Tennessee WR's literally line up on the stands. A very ******ed Offense that limits them in the Pros. Tennessee WR's = Fools gold.

Yes I can usually pick Stribling in Rd5/6 of mock drafts. Has he shot up that much?
There's a Ton of Big WR's in this class look at the Cincinnati kid Caldwell he had a killer Combine.

Skyler Bell with a 6.65 3-cone at his pro day to compliment a 4.40 forty and 41" vert.

Our Volume Slot WR right there did he outwork O Cooper?? Also love Cyruss Allen he was killing it at the Senior Bowl... dusting every CB.

I wouldn't be upset about it.

If he was the next Puka we would take him at 31 without hesitation.
That said.
I find these types of WRs to be really hard to get right. Some are great in the NFL, but many aren’t.
I remember a lot of similar concerns with Tet who had a great rookie year. Can he separate….etc, those same questions were being asked about him pre draft last year.
A lot of you were wrong about King Tet the Bust.

One thing that really intrigues me about Jeff Caldwell: according to Rob Rang (I think), Caldwell was 5'8" as a high school senior. He grew 9" in a late growth spurt. This might explain his lack of production prior to Cincinnati. That's a whole new body to learn how to use.

Another intriguing thing: Caldwell not only ran a 4.31 40 with a 40: VJ and 11'2" BJ. He had a 1.53 10-split. That kind of quickness is almost unheard of for a 6'5" guy. (Full disclisure: Chris Brazzell had a 1.52 20-split).

He may never reach his potential, but the potential is other-wordly.

Growth spurt you say??

Isn't that speed and not quickness? Isn't quickness measured by the 3-cone and short-shuttle?

It will be interesting to see if Caldwell ran those today at his Pro-day or just did Positionals.

He ran a 1.48 10-yd split at the Combine. That is fastly quick by any measure whether he was 5'8" or 6'5".

Caldwell also did not go through athletic testing after lighting up the NFL Combine numbers, but he did go through catching drills.

It's standard to not repeat testing at Pro Days if already done at the Combine. The information is there.

What seems new this year is for some non-injured players to elect not to test at either. That is unusual.

I asked you to list your top 5 WRs in order in this years draft that are in realistic reach for us, you haven't answered.
I want to see how you do.
I could list more than Five so there...

1) Ted Hurst

2) Chris Bell

3) Omar Cooper = Slot and Outside

4) Malachi Fields

5) Germie Bernard = Slot

6) Antonio Williams = Slot

7) Skyler Bell = Slot and Outside

8) Elijah Sarratt = Slot and Outside

As you can see I have some Big X and some smaller guys who could be Monsters in the Slot.

You don’t like Lance?
I prefer him to Fields.
Personal preference.

It's such a Deep class: I now feel like we could get Two decent guys in the Third and Fourth. I like also Bryce Lance and Josh Cameron. Can't sleep on Jeff Caldwell - J Michael Sturdivant - CJ Daniels and Ja'Kobi Lane. Quite a few are going to drop glad we have all those Sixths.
