Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
But pats 27 picks in each round will likely be much better than 31

And if the Pats trade for Brown in June, the pick they give up could be a round lower or more than they would have to give up now. You go bargain shopping in June. Brown's trade value drops quite a bit.

I would rather trade a 2027 second round than the 2026 first and another second day pick.

.Few teams will have saved the cap space to trade for him.
You think that few teams could restructure someone or have enough cap space to pay for Brown's exorbitant 2026 cap hit. I've seen estimates of $7M and $2M. Of course, that is not net of whoever they drop to acquire Brown,

Who is going to trade for him in June. By then, the Rams and Ravens will likely be out of the market. The Broncos and Bills are out of the market. Likely any team that isn't in contention are going to trade for Brown because he isn't long term solution. Plus Brown would likely to block a trade to a team he doesn't want to go to.

When have you ever seen a big trade in June? Teams don't have money left. They already addressed their biggest needs in the draft. And a WR is a position that is actually deep at the top this year. There isn't a going to be market in June.

Unless the Pats draft a WR in the first round, the only realistic options for Brown in June is trading him to the Pats or him staying an Eagle. There is a small chance someone else will trade for him.

If this is true, the Pats won't have any competition and can probably have Brown for cheap.

As long as it’s not a 2027 1st or 2nd. Could be one of the best draft classes ever. Like I mentioned earlier, 2026 1st? Sure…all day. Obviously the Eagles are banking on someone caving and I hope it’s not us.

i hope its not true he has a bad knee. If so it should not cost more than a third

Sam is back, tell a friend.
If this is Sam then tune him out. He makes a bet he would leave forever. I did not want to see that. I still don’t. He just had to stay positive
Instead he changes his screen name and reverts back to be a negative Nancy. That would be Pretty sad
Edit: But this account has been in effect for awhile now so probably not Sam just a negative Nancy

This board should have people who say what they think. I get it that many do not like what I post.
Its fine to mute me or ignore.
I do not think its a good idea to filter out negative opinions. Doing so will make this forum an echo chamber
I do not engage in personal attacks and take contrary opinions seriously.

Yes I lost a bet and came back as Grogan14.

Given everything going on in this crazy world, its not worth wasting time on me
I suggest let it go
Ian can kick me off the board if he thinks its appropriate and I will respect that decision and this time not return.

You should just stop saying such incredibly stupid ****, then people wouldn’t mind so much.

I'm going to say the obvious here...sometimes age catches up with us quickly and it's here for all to see.

He missed one game last year and it was a hamstring, not a knee. I'm not the least bit concerned.

My only concern has ever been trade compensation. Don't give up a first or a boatload of picks, that's all I ask.

You're doing them a favor unloading a headache, don't let them off the hook.

The most important part of being a great negotiator, is possessing the ability to walk away.

I didn't mean to imply Sam administering a dope slap would be understood by the recipient, just saying it may have been an attempt at one. OFC if he really wanted to give a blatant tweak Sam's new name should have been... Andy Johnson
Now you suggest it…

Don’t set such a precedent or we’ll all have to stop. The board would be dead!

I agree, the draft will eliminate more potential trading partners. The Pats are in great position to take advantage of the situation. If the price doesn't make sense. the team should take their chances with the current WR group plus the draft.

Agree completely.

The guy isn't even hiding he wants to be a Patriot. Asked about a game he will never forget and he talks about the Patriots vs. the Giants Super Bowl with the Tyree catch. Obviously, they were asking about one of his games.

Rob,

It's merely a matter of time as Giardi pointed out..
