NFL News Dolphins Trading Jaylen Waddle to Broncos

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
Where is “the cap is crap” crowd?

The dolphins now pick immediately before us in the first, third and fourth rounds.

Also suggests we'll struggle to get AJ Brown for less than a first.

I'd rather have Waddle than Brown based on the knee alone.

1st, 3rd and 4th for Waddle which I think is too much will make Brown untouchable without selling the farm.
It's actually a 1st and 4th when you realize Miami is sending back a 4th rounder that comes just 11 picks later than the 3rd rounder Denver is sending.

I'm generally perplexed why fans think Waddle's value is even with Brown's. It shouldn't be. Waddle's should be higher.

I think Brown is better than Waddle, but Waddle is a year and half younger and doesn't have the long term medical concerns that Brown has. That said, I think I would rather have Brown in the short term. Brown is a proven legitimate #1 elite WR. Waddle has been a #2 WR with #1 potential. Not sure how Waddle will do when drawing #1 coverage consistently.
I thought was like 26 since he's still in his first five years with the Phins.

You're telling me he came out of college aged 23 or 24? Jeez.

I think this helps contextualize the way NE is operating this offseason thus far. Remember, it's not necessarily about being the best in the conference as much as it is just being better than the 3 teams in your division.

At this point, the Jets and Dolphins look like they will be dumpster fires, and Buffalo will make an effort but still has holes. Joe Brady is in his first year as an HC, is very young, and it remains to be seen if he can do the job. Even if he can, he will have growing pains. And their defense still really sucks.

So overall, the Pats may not look like AFC champs on paper but they seem to look like AFC East champs on paper to me, WR room concerns be damned. Improvements to the OL, better TE blocking, and a quality fullback will let them pound the football much better than in 2025. Probably a lower win total, but that doesn't mean it's not still a division title and a home playoff game.

Pass on Brown.

Keep him Howie and enjoy your disfunctional locker room.

I don't think Brown would be a problem here. At least not for several years. He loves Vrabel. He is a huge Patriots fan. This locker room is strong with a strong sense of unity. And Maye will get him the ball.

I see Brown coming here like Moss when he came from the Raiders. Moss was a locker room cancer until he got to the Patriots and was a good soldier for at least two years.

I hope you’re right but disagree and so do all the odds makers.
Buffalo is the favorite for the division, they have the best QB and player in the East.
I do like our overall roster better than theirs, on that we agree.

Would be nice if Elliot could get off his overpaid a** for once and take a risk

Afraid of his own shadow

He is always late to the party
Who do you want specifically, then tell us the exact compensation you're willing to pay to aquire him.

Ahhh I did not see that a pick will be traded back. I dont see Waddle as a WR1 and his production over the last two years has dropped but I also dont see Brown as elite either outside of 2022 and 2023.

I’m not sure on Waddle.
Look at his stats, his targets have decreased a lot since his rookie year.
Is that because he’s not getting open?
Is that because Tua and the Oline turned into junk?
I think he’s a good WR, but Denver waaaaay overpaid imo.
