Not sure how a Jets/Giants reporter would have this story though. I think it is probably bunk, but I figured I would report it.

Honestly I have to agree as we caught major breaks this post season.. the Texans without Collins was also huge..Had Nix not broken his ankle, the Broncos would've easily beaten the Pats in the AFCCG. Pats OL was getting worse by the week and it got to a point where they could barely move the ball starting in the AFCCG. The only reason the Pats got a TD was because the Broncos' idiot backup threw the ball behind the LOS. People went into denial claiming it was because of the "weather" in the 2nd half completely ignoring the clear skies in the 1st half. That missed field goal at the end of the half was brutal for the Pats as they really needed that.

The thing is if the Broncos would have won with Nix, it would have been more about how the Patriots offense had fallen off than Nix. Don't forget the Broncos got lucky in the division round because Josh Allen played like a complete idiot and gifted the Broncos with easy turnovers.
Remember when Allen decided the Broncos should have more than a 7 point lead going into halftime and decided to throw the ball back to make sure the Broncos were in at least field goal range with only 2 seconds left?
And let's not forget this where the refs arguably gave the Broncos the game.
3rd best offense against historically bad teams.People who are hyping up the 27 draft have very short memories. IIRC in the run up to the 25 draft, everyone was complaining how that draft class was thin on first round level picks, and how the 26 draft was going to be SOOOO much better. It should also be pointed out that one of the reasons that the 27 draft is so hyped is that there are 5 QB's who are supposed to be top 10 picks in that draft. Last year guys like Nussbaum and Manning were supposed to be top 5 picks in this draft. Manning went back to Texas where he can improve and likely make as much money as a rookie in the NFL, and Nussbaum had injury issues and will likely be a 2nd or 3rd day pick So you never know who will get hurt, who will go back, or who simply craps out in a future draft.
As to Brown, we had the 3rd best offense, and the 4th best passing attack and were in the top 10 in scoring with the group we are so desperate improve on. To me he would be a wonderful luxury. It would be greatl to have him, but it won't be the end of the world if it doesn't happen.
Philly isn't going to get the bag they have been calling for, especially after the draft. Plus they need AJ if they want to improve THEIR offense and contend. When the offers drop to 2nd day levels, I believe Howie will come to the conclusion that they will be better off keeping him. They already lost one WR so far
hmmThey went to the SB because of their defense and lucky circumstances, offense sucked ass.
Broncos or Bills would've knocked the Pats off in the AFCCG because the Pats OL was so alarmingly bad.
And we keep pointing to Allen's mistakes, yet we make fun of that he has nobody to throw to and the defense can't stop anyone in big games as usual. We can't have it both ways. The only reason the Bills were in that game was because of Allen.
That doesn't make any sense. How do you choke when your bad defense can't stop an average offense and you have no WR's to throw to? Again, the only reason why the Bills were even there and in the game was because of Allen. You can't have it both ways. You can't say they have a bad supporting cast, but Allen choked.Allen choked in that game. The Bills defense gave up 33 points to an average offense. You can have it both ways.

When the Bills actually get serious and put some playmakers on offense and a reliable defense around him, he'll get to the Super Bowl.
The bettors don't think that Allen will choke again this season. It makes perfect sense. I showed you video how Allen choked. He doesn't choke, the Bills win. If the defense doesn't give up 33 points, the Bills win. But I blame Allen more because he played stupid and choked. He made mistakes an elite QB shouldn't make. I don't blame the defense as much because it sucks and giving 33 points isn't out of character for them.
Allen is the best QB in the league... so I can understand why.The bettors don't think that Allen will choke again this season.

Maybe Goedert taking a cut paves the way for a Brown extension to lower his cap hit with Philly so they have a longer term answer?Numbers wise according to a few Eagles guys is that it was either Goedert or Brown but not both numbers wise.
So this might mean something is coming tonight or tomorrow.
