Player Signing Two new signings- TE Julian Hill and S Mike Brown

15 catches? And one of the tweets above says he's explosive?

Hey, Seattle gave Shaheed $17M AAV for 12 catches.

Keep churning the depth. Guys get an opportunity to compete, who know what will happen. Either they step up or you move on (sometimes both, see Chaisson and Hawkins).

The RAS has a problem with Hill's height at 6'4"? Weight at 250? That doesn't seem like a bad combination....not Gronk numbers but still not bad.
Aaron Hernandez (sorry) was 6'2" 245

Tell everyone you're too focused on one aspect of the game without telling everyone you're too focused on one aspect of the game.

Hill is a blocking TE. His personal goal is to be the BEST Blocking TE in the NFL He WANTS to put DTs, DEs and LBs on their keesters and takes great pride in doing it. His blocking is explosive and is one of the reasons Achane had such a great year.

OH.. And he's really intelligent. In HS, he pulled a Vrabel w/o knowing who Vrabel was and knew what everyone at every position was supposed to be doing on every play. Instead of resting on his laurels, he'd always ask, "What can I do better". He was always the first one to critique his own play.

Kid has over-come 2 ACLs and 2 broken clavicles. He was a QB in HS and moved to TE in College for Mike Minter at Campbell University. He would spend HOURS outside of practice doing things to make himself a better player. Hundreds of reps each day catching the ball.

Ya that was a pretty horrific decision on their part.

Heard he's explosive though

Nothing special …
Read the article linked below.

Than answer me whether you still think he’s nothing special.

Very good article there. I haven’t read part 2 yet, it’s just too much to take in all at once.

Clearly a very high character guy. UDFA from a small school, seems like he’s doing a very special job of making the best of his opportunities. Glad we signed him to a three year deal. That says a lot about what the coaching brain trust thinks of him.

This is a must read. Julian Hill just became my binkie. He's going to be the Blocking TE we've been wanting for years. Bank on it.
Thanks for the recommendation. I can’t imagine growing up like that. But this guy’s focus and drive…. When he says he wants to be the best tight end in the NFL, it means it’s going to happen, period.

I can easily see why Vrabel targeted this guy. I so want him to succeed.

There is a Part 2 and Part 3.. Well worth the read.

Part 3

I don't normally do the whole "Binkie" thing, but reading this story caused me to do just that.

I have not read the stories/bio, but I take it we have found our blocking TE?
If so, I hope we focus on a real receiving threat TE in the draft.
