Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

Now that Josh Uche is signed with the Dolphins, anyone know how he is pronouncing his last name these days?

I feel like he's a slight downgrade from Chaisson...but maybe a change of scenery will help.

In fairness, at this point last year, Chaisson was more than just a slight downgrade from the 2025 season Chaisson.

According to the guy who can't be bothered to spellcheck, looks like 'Uce'. *eyeroll*

As for Brown... I'd rather see what this front office combo can do getting another mid-round guy to develop. But what we really need is a top flight TE to develop. Someone who can make a living out of surprise seam routes and take advantage of Maye's arm.

Has Njoku signed anywhere yet?

And a few previously reported moves are now official.

Bummer about Gibbens. In Vrabes I trust.
Yeah, I was a little surprised about that. Just Spillane and Ellis left from last year’s LB group now. I wanted an upgrade there anyway, seems like the team does too. Curious to find out the plan, since it clearly doesn’t involve a big name free agent signing at this point.

DE and LB will be high on the Pats draft boards

It sends a message. I would have been fine keeping those guys at reasonable cost, but nothing critical lost.

Roughly 2/3 of your roster is exchangeable. Lock in your core guys, don't overspend on JAGs, and keep on churning.

Good summary of where things stand at this point (doesn’t list Gibbens as leaving though, I guess that’s still TBD). More out than in. Could potentially create space for guys like Bryant, Farmer, and Swinson if they take advantage of it. But expecting to see some low-name free agent signings soon as veteran competition for most of those spots. But I’m still hoping for starter capable players for TE2, ILB, and edge.

Still not giving them a 1, or maybe even a 2. Part of me wants the Pats to draft a guy and say FU to Roseman.
We don’t have a stellar history of drafting WRs and Brown is proven. Anyone drafted upcoming is an unknown. Captain obvious here, I know, but I think it’s that simple. I would trade that 1st in a heartbeat for Brown.

Good summary.

Disappointed about Alec Pierce and Leo Chenal.

For now, we have replaced Gibbens with Britt.

For now, Spillane and Elliss are our starters at ILB with the following as backups
Britt, Mapu, Muma

Look for a couple of more lower level free agents.
