The knee jerk troll reaction of a certain few on this board is something man. Not you ScottishPatriots your thought is a fair one. Doubs is a solid player, good route runner and will be good for the Pats. Here is the thing, the guy balls out in playoff games. You talk about our struggles in the playoffs and a large part of that had to do with the lack of production from Diggs. He has a reputation of disappearing in play off games and he just added to it how he played last year. Doubs is just the opposite, the bigger the game the better he plays. Against the Bears last year in the playoffs he had 8 catches for 124 yards and a TD. An average of 15.5 yards per catch. Diggs had 2 catches for 16 yards against the Charges. Four and 40 against the Texans with a TD. Five for 17 against the Bronco's. Three (one for 23 yards in garbage time) for 37 in the Super Bowl. That is 14 catches in four games for 110 yards (avg of 7.85) with one TD. That is terrible production from Diggs and it has been a theme of his in the latter part of the year and playoffs. That performance is why he is no longer here in my opinion. Doubs is a good route runner with good hands. Not a great athlete. But he will be there when the games matter unlike some others. This is what happens when you have to resort to free agency to fill needs. You invariably have to overpay especially when your top option went back to Colts and the Eagles are being ridiculous in their asking price for AJ Brown. Do I love this, no, but I understand it and they had to outbid the Commanders to get him, which they did.Come on, you saw the playoff games right?
The schedule talk was annoying in the media but we can't deny it was partially the the difference between 14 wins and 10/11 wins, we saw the offense against playoff level defenses it was inept and nowhere near good enough at protecting the passer or separating from good coverage.
