AAV contract reasonable, wpuld have like him in NE.
It was reported, but not confirmed. CBS showing it on their tracker, but no contract value given.

Sounds like it is not final, still holding out hope. Would be a good signing for NE.
NFL.com doesn’t have it eitherCBS Sports has taken down the AVT to Giants signing on their tracker.
Why is everyone so keen to get rid of Barmore? He was lights out in the playoffs and if we lose Barmore, it just means more double teams for Milton Williams.Christian Barmore acquitted.
Now trade him to Jax for BTJ. Then trade up in the 2nd round for a DT.
Just a thought.
$27M to $29M AAV for Pierce is crazy, but the more important lesson learned is that the team who drafts well has the inside track to re-sign the drafted player as a FA after Y4 or Y5 of his rookie contract.0 for 3 so far:
- Alec Pierce re-signs with Indy. $29M AAV
- AVT reportedly signing with Giants for $11M AAV - I would have matched that
To a degree.$27M to $29M AAV for Pierce is crazy, but the more important lesson learned is that the team who drafts well has the inside track to re-sign the drafted player as a FA after Y4 or Y5 of his rookie contract.
Have to draft well for so many reasons. That is why I love @mayoclinic and @manxman2601 .
EDGE - Arnold EbiketieUsually there are bargains to be found after day 1 of FA. As of right now, the following are still available:
EDGE: Trey Hendrickson, K'Lavon Chaisson, Sam Williams. Veteran stopgap like Joey Bosa and Jadeveon Clowney.
LG: Alijah Vera-Tucker, Joel Bitonio
CB: Riq Woolen, Nahshon Wright
S: Jaylin Hawkins, Kevin Byard
LB: Devin Lloyd
Probably true that Wash offered more and Pierce preferred to take less and not change teams. Proves my point. Drafting well and re-signing your own players is the most important requirement..To a degree.
Indy offered him a lot of money, pretty sure that was key to his re-signing.
There are reports Wash potentially offered more, not sure if they are true.
EDGE - Arnold Ebiketie
WR - Romeo Doubs
LT - Rasheed Walker
LB - Leo Chenal, Dre Greenlaw
LG - Elgton Jenkins
