There’s also still a lot of the off-season to go. I’m not worried. The draft, the rest of free agency, trades after signings make current roster members expendable on other teams….
I don't know what the threshold is, but the Tonga deal and maybe Lowe might be enough?Don’t think NE has any chance at comp picks next year because we had no one meaningful as UFA outside of Chaisson and we already cancelled him out with Jones.
They allow for a lot of maneuvering, that’s for sure!Yup. Those four 6th rounders and the extra 4th have some value.
That's for last years FA though right? They allow for a lot of maneuvering, that’s for sure!
Schefter just posted comp picks. Pats are not listed as of now, so there’s that.

Re-reading the tweet, yes, I believe that’s what was awarded for this draft. My bad. That's for last years FA though right?
I'm not joining them. I am just wondering if they know something I don't know. Truth be told, the pressure is kind of off to a considerable degree from my perspective. I think last year's success WAS in large part due to an historically soft schedule, that we are still mid-way in a rebuild from absolute crap, and that with a tougher schedule and lower draft picks and with the upcoming need to sign a couple of very expensive current players, we are not going to be much better at the top of the roster next year than we were last year: it's not in the cards - look at the goddam cards - and that our record will very much reflect all this. Nine wins, something like that. I would hold onto all of our draft picks, stop snatching at every goddam "proven" shiny object that comes along, and concentrate this off-season on building a stronger backup/mid-roster group this year. At this point, because of our SB trip last season, I think most patsfans very much overrate the team and that this foolish talk of overpaying for "final touch" type players is a silly, impulsive attitude built on fanboy delusion as to what we actually are, as to where we actually are in our rebuild. How's that? Lemming talk?Yes. The lemmings will be lonely if you don't join them before free agency actually starts.

It’s the backup. I’m not worried. You need to be healthy to win, that’s just how this league goes so wtv.Who is it then?
Lowe wasn't great but it might cost to replace him and currently, there are three big needs in the draft: WR, EDGE & Safety, unless they're addressed in FA which is thinning. So we're probably looking at a day 3 LT unless those other needs are addressed.
There's time left, but the market is narrowing.

LOL. You'll have to be patient: I am better at conjuring facetiousness than I am at detecting it.I hold out hope that some day, you'll be able to discern sarcasm via text.
Unfortunately, today doesn't appear to be that day. But I'm rooting for you.

I hate memes, by the way.
I thought you might. I like stills (His name is Ingemar.):
He got more than he’s worth.This. We easily could have paid him.
It was laughable some thought he’d get 15 million a year.
Jack Westover. It's why they signed a FB. There's nothing that he can't do that you can do better. Or something like that.Updated tweet says "two-year deal worth max value of $12M with $5.75M guaranteed, per sources"...
Pretty short money, so it seems we were just done with him.
Next man up, whomever that man is.
The Pats may pull the Westover tender, which would make him a Free Agent.. But we'll have to see what happens.Jack Westover. It's why they signed a FB. There's nothing that he can't do that you can do better. Or something like that.
