Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

One hour in you think that’s it, this is the team?
No. I am convinced the team has a plan at receiver. I said IF this is the group they bring out on opening day--it would not be good enough.

40 times are pretty overrated. All that matters is if a receiver knows how to get open. Does speed help? Sure. But I'd take smart, precise route runners all day over straight line burners.

Know who else ran a 4.71 40? Jerry Rice. So, yeah, consider me as someone who doesn't care about 40 yard times.
For real? I didn’t know that.

Gilliam’s most consistent contribution comes on special teams, where he plays over 76–83% of snaps, one of the highest rates on the team. He is a core performer across all units, making impactful tackles, serving as a lead blocker on kick returns, and creating turnovers. In 2023, he forced a fumble on an opening kickoff and recovered another later in the season, earning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Might want him more than AJ Brown if the price is right.

If it's a 3rd round pick, which is still a little rich in my mind, but THAT is more like it.
The first rounder they were asking for earlier is batshit.

I dunno man. Teams do trade young WR’s unless something is wrong with them.

He has fallen down the depth chart. He just dropped a lot of balls early. Not sure he cannot return to a potential All Pro he was his rookie year in another system. Not sure if the Pats have that system, but they might.

I worry about Concussions as well. I fully understand that they are cumulative. But I'm also pointing out that he's not had one since 2022 and hasn't missed any time for a concussion since that injury..
Another one bites the dust.

Yeah. He's only what two years into his rookie deal, they're a young team with promise trying to build a winning franchise, why trade him? It makes no sense?

He did have a lot of horrible drops in year two, but still....

I can't see them giving up the Top of their Draft for A.J. Brown and I like him. I would do it for a pick this year and next.
My takes on FA so far...Seattle offense took a huge Blow losing walker.. Will be a different offense when we see them... based on Rams giving Mcduffie that contract Gonzo's gonna get $$$.. for us Jones was a excellent pick up.. can rush and play the run....

Honestly? I could dead ass see that contract being the domino that eventually gets Gonzo traded.

Ya. What's wrong with him is his QB must hate him or some **** because how do you explain that rookie season with Mac Jones as your QB no less and then tour fall off in year 2 with Lawrence?

This kid would excel here with Drake and McDaniels.

Do it.

Remember…Frank Reich did embarrass the Pats with Philly. He’s a solid OC.
