Brown is not coming to the pats. Well past time to recalibrate expectations
They are not going to be big spenders

Vrabel said cheaper and younger
They just signed a 29 year old defensive end. AJ Brown is the same age.

No Vrabel said, like every team, every year we are liking to make or roster better and cheaper and younger.
He didn’t mean every move is designed to do all 3.

I'm waiting for the report that we offered more to Pierce and he opted to stay in Indy.

$14.5 million guaranteed.

Russini is already saying he turned down more money elsewhere. Didn’t say the exact team.

Yeah if some kind of report comes out that the Pats had the "best offer" it'll be full of them Kraft guarantees where you gotta be 2007 Randy Moss to have a hope of seeing most of it.

That Patriots funny money, this isn't the wasteland Patriots i refuse to believe he turned down the best offer from the Pats to go back to Indy.

Tyler keys was very high on him and stated we could sign him.. I like this.

I am okay if we do not make a splash in wr. Build the trenches.

For once I saw the opposite - the Pats were interested but weren't willing to pay that.

If you're not willing to pay the number then you aren't actually in on it.

He's basically Jennings, but can actually use a pass rush move.
No. Jennings is 255 lbs. Jones is 280 and that’s probably lower than the real number, he was listed at 295 in college.
He’s a much bigger player than any of our edge guys last year.

Eh. Bye Jennings would be my guess.
I think it is also a negotiating tactic to some degree. They paid Jones $13M APY and they can say Jones is a better player than Chaisson, so Chaisson, you should take less than $13M APY. Then sign Chaisson at $10-11M APY.

I'm pretty sure Chaisson already has a deal in place. We'll see officially though, you know how this goes.
