I think back to how much Wolf tried to overpay for the Tampa Bay receiver. Pierce is 25 and plays ball the way Drake wants to play ball. If we overpay now, in a few years (if it works out), it'll look like a good deal.
I have been listening to some of the talk about the draft and the feeling isn't great that there's a WR1 that is going to be there at the end of the first round.
I would like to think that wouldn't be the case. Although in the same vein, it's also another reminder that a player who might have agreed elsewhere might not be completely off the table. Can't even imagine being a Panthers fan...I'm guessing there was a lot of disappointment there last year.

There was a few reports about a month ago that alluded to the fact his knee is cooked. I’m not sure how true that is though.

I always like these types of signings. They mean that you don't HAVE to draft a replacement but you aren't prevented from drafting an upgrade if a better player is there.
