Patriots Player Departure Stefon Diggs Cut.

I always liked Dj Moore
Let s see...

Welp that sucks. Would have liked to see him win one with Drake since they had good chemistry and a bit of a bromance. But alas that's the business of it all. Now he can get down to throwing 2cb and not tusi drug fueled parties lol. Thank you Diggs, your lack of Diva-ness that showed in the past but not here, made me eat my words and not regret your signing. Here's to hoping for a few more years to his career! Hope he doesn't go provide a shoulder for JA to cry on though..

I would prefer Moore to Pierce or Brown

I think any of them would be an upgrade to what the Pats had last year. No disrespect to Diggs or Boutte.

Sorry, I can't give you higher than 'winner' but I would if I could.

I would love the Big F to get many more opportunities next year.
He’s got slow long speed and should never be used as a kick returner, but he has a quickness and shiftiness in his routes that can translate into being that safety valve in the slot if he develops further. A positive sign that he could produce against Jets and Dolphins teams playing out the string. But this is going to be a big offseason for him, the opportunity is there, he needs to grab it.

Williams, Douglas and Chism are the obvious slot choices now but I like the idea of Mack Hollins there too almost like an additional flex TE. not every down, but certainly in some packages.
Yeah, that's why I think Pierce is such a good target. He becomes the "deep threat" and then they have so many guys who would be very good in the short/intermediate. Douglas and Chism are the first guys who come to mind, but Hollins is also a good option, and Williams can run every route too and simply needs to develop as an NFL WR.

Pierce is a 3rd/4th WR who catches 54% of the passes thrown to him. He's Donald Hayes 2.0.
Pierce was the #2 ranked free agent WR, and is gonna be 26 in May. He leads the NFL in yards per catch over the last 3 years combined. For his 4 year career, he averaged 18.7 yards a catch. He’d be the perfect deep threat signing for the Pats to match with Maye, who is a great deep ball thrower. He hasn’t been a high volume pass catcher, but that’ll certainly change if he becomes the Pat’s #1 receiver.

Let’s not forget, they can go after other receivers as well, whether in free agency or trades or the draft.

Any signing bonus in a potential Gonzo deal would come out of that I believe although I'm far from an expert on contract stuff.

One thing about Pierce...his catch percentage is not good at 53%. Otherwise I hope he signs with the Pats.

They better find a replacement

I have complete faith in this front office, they know what they are doing and have a good plan for this offseason. They have known what decisions they were going to have to make, and what they would have to do when they made them. This allows them to extend Gonzalez and still go into free agency able to address several key needs.

Not sure what trade options are realistic, besides Brown. Many people mention Justin Jefferson but that seems a bit crazy to me. Brian Thomas Jr perhaps? Drake London?

Brian Thomas JR, sign me up

Pierce is a 3rd/4th WR who catches 54% of the passes thrown to him. He's Donald Hayes 2.0.
That's a problem. It's bad. Maybe it's the environment...idk.

Diggs production was meh when the real bullets started to fly. That First Buffalo Game was awesome but his production was well spaced after that. Thanks for the memories not sad to see you go Drake Maye is getting some Young Studs @ WR and TE in 26 color me estatic.

Diggs convinced me that he wasn't a mistake last year. His leadership in that room was big. He's going to be missed.

Pierce is a 3rd/4th WR who catches 54% of the passes thrown to him. He's Donald Hayes 2.0.

Brown is a Diva who has shown he can't handle not being "THE" guy.

Diggs was better than I had anticipated. That said, I get moving on.
