He’s got slow long speed and should never be used as a kick returner, but he has a quickness and shiftiness in his routes that can translate into being that safety valve in the slot if he develops further. A positive sign that he could produce against Jets and Dolphins teams playing out the string. But this is going to be a big offseason for him, the opportunity is there, he needs to grab it.Sorry, I can't give you higher than 'winner' but I would if I could.
I would love the Big F to get many more opportunities next year.
Yeah, that's why I think Pierce is such a good target. He becomes the "deep threat" and then they have so many guys who would be very good in the short/intermediate. Douglas and Chism are the first guys who come to mind, but Hollins is also a good option, and Williams can run every route too and simply needs to develop as an NFL WR.Williams, Douglas and Chism are the obvious slot choices now but I like the idea of Mack Hollins there too almost like an additional flex TE. not every down, but certainly in some packages.
Pierce was the #2 ranked free agent WR, and is gonna be 26 in May. He leads the NFL in yards per catch over the last 3 years combined. For his 4 year career, he averaged 18.7 yards a catch. He’d be the perfect deep threat signing for the Pats to match with Maye, who is a great deep ball thrower. He hasn’t been a high volume pass catcher, but that’ll certainly change if he becomes the Pat’s #1 receiver.Pierce is a 3rd/4th WR who catches 54% of the passes thrown to him. He's Donald Hayes 2.0.
They better find a replacement
Not sure what trade options are realistic, besides Brown. Many people mention Justin Jefferson but that seems a bit crazy to me. Brian Thomas Jr perhaps? Drake London?
That's a problem. It's bad. Maybe it's the environment...idk.Pierce is a 3rd/4th WR who catches 54% of the passes thrown to him. He's Donald Hayes 2.0.
Diggs convinced me that he wasn't a mistake last year. His leadership in that room was big. He's going to be missed.

Brown is a Diva who has shown he can't handle not being "THE" guy.
