Released by cardinals who have no starting qb now.
Never saw him as worthy of being the #1 but he did last longer than I expected

87 starts. 38-48-1
4 last place division finishes, 2 3rd, 1 2nd

1 playoff berth
0 playoff wins.

Might he switch to baseball?

Still hard to believe a team would want someone who once had a study / shut of your PlayStation clause in his contract.

He’s only 28? Seems like he’s been around a lot longer!

The Jests are the odds on betting favorite to win his services

Little guys have to play with a chip on their shoulder, like nobody thinks they’re good enough… think Brees or Flutie.

Murray plays like he’s the best QB in the league and everyone else knows it.

Between his lack of height and lack of character, this was inevitable. Perhaps the Jets will take him on, unless they can find someone worse. They find incompetence irresistible for some reason.

I’ll bet he ends up playing for a dome or warm weather team.

If you were Murray and looking to revive your career and the two options were the Vikings, who turned Sam Darnold into a viable starting QB again or the New Jersey Jets, how in the name of all that's holy, do you pick the Jets?

Those two paths are very different and I think the money speaks louder than the revival, which would take hard work and discipline. He is too lazy for that. He takes the money from the Jets who are dumb enough to shovel it out.

If I was a betting man I would guess Murray goes to NJ and Cousins goes to MIN.

I was reading something about Cousins and sounds like he still wants to be a starter and wants that clear. The Atlanta thing soured him on having to compete with a younger QB.

Its not a bad guess. Cousins has this strange ability to make money. He has a career earning of $322 million. He sits at #4 under Brady, and will pass him with the next contract. Somehow teams get stupid when they know he is a free agent. I am not saying he is a bad QB. With the right setting, he is still a playoff QB. I think Min is that setting if they keep JJ and JA together as WR. I think McCarthy is an utter idiot. Have you seen his Nine stuff?

From Josh Rosen to Kyler Murray: Arizona where QB's go to die??

Cousins' career as a starter really took off, and his best years, were in Minnesota so it'd be a bit of a homecoming. I think he would be happy to finish off his career there. Minnesota may trade then McCarthy to some other team to be a backup to rehab his image and career (wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being the 49ers if they lose Mac Jones this year) and then draft a kid again in the top 2-3 rounds and develop him over a couple of seasons behind Cousins.

I'm rooting for a big round 1 & 2 draft panic run on QBs. Make it so.
