Wrecks reportedly campaigned hard for a return as Jete head coach before Glenn was hired. I suppose he's glad for his son but I wonder at the same time if he feels kind of awkward, especially with them going 3-14 and figuring he could've done better.
 
I guess the only coaches who would consider signing on to the Jete dumpster fire would be ones just starting out or has-beens with no other options...
 
I'm sure it's been pointed out, but imagine being a Jets fan, being a team in need of a QB forced to either root for the QB they let walk, OR the Patriots.

As usual for Jete fans, the only options they have are awful ones.

They definitely won't root for the Pats, but if they root for Darn-it then they have to admit their organization couldn't figure out how to utilize his talents.

They can cheer for the Pats because their meaningless late-season win over us gave us the draft position we needed to take Maye, amirite?

Classic Jete lose lose scenario. It's fantastic that we do have the Jete Suck silver lining if we don't win this.

And this is all gravy for us so for a lot of Pats fans this is truly a no lose situation to have Maye and the rebuild take us back to contention this quickly. Jets fans have NO idea what that feels like of course.

They do have that eternal hope that one day they will break their last place tie with the Houston Oilers for Eastern Division titles. Both remain at 4 divisional titles even though the Oilers haven't existed for the last 30 years.

And haven't been in the AFCE even longer than that.
 
So they can't publicize, but that implies they can still create it. So they just make sure it leaks every year. The NFL gets angry, the NFLPA promises not to let it happen again, rinse and repeat every year.
