2026 Mock Draft Thread

I am starting to lean very hard Stowers in the 2nd and trade a 4th or 5th for Kmet. I assume that Kmet could be had for a 5th, I think this would take care of the TE position for 4-5 years. I watched a video with Stowers explaining that as a former QB he feels that he can read the defense as well as his QB and I like that alot.

I think a OT and OG are drafted as well as an edge and I also think that 2 of those positions will be addressed in FA

In honor of all the crazy draft trades being thrown around, here's mine:

Patriots trade their 1st and 2nd round picks to the Jets for the Jets two 2nd round picks.

Throw in a mix of middle and late rounders to balance things out.

So, according to the NFL trade chart, it would go like this:

Patriots trade: 1st (600) + 2nd (276) + 2026 3rd (120) + 4th (41) + 6th (16) = 1053

Jets trade: 2nd (580) + 2nd (460) = 1040

Jordan Reid post-Combine 2-round mock:

He has the Pats taking Cashius Howell at 31 and Skyler Bell at 63.

I go with Max Iheanachor at 31. At 63, Ted Hurst, Dani Dennis-Sutton and Treydan Stukes are all available. What a dilemma.

He has Monroe Freeling going 6 to Cleveland as OT1. Wish I'd thought of that.

Its a matter of striking a balance between need and BPA. In order to go the BPA route you need a well rounded team with depth wich granted is hard to acheive. Once achieved a BPA can increase the overall team talent. The Lions might be the best example of this over the last few years.

If you are constantly putting yourself in a position of needing to fill dire needs you end up picking Cole Strange in the first round.

There are decisions to be made every draft at some picks that a BPA might provide more value over the long term.

The BPA is likely to be an OL or an EDGE player (or perhaps a DT).

I'm fine with any of those positions. Much depends on who is project to be available at the bottom of the 2nd.

In depth mock from Josh Norris and Hayden Winks:

They have Pats taking KC Concepcion. Not for me, with Caleb Lomu and Max Iheanachor on the board.

Interesting picks:

6. Cleveland. Monroe Freeling. Again.
15. TB. Akheem Mesidor. With Sonny Styles going early, Mesidor at 15 + JRod at 46 is my combo for TB.
30. Denver. Eli Stover. A real possibility, IMO.

Got the following with PFSN simulator (traded back twice and lost out on Max Iheanachor, d%#*!@t):

52. Ted Hurst, WR
63. Jacob Rodriguez, LB
79. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE
95. Jake Golday, LB/EDGE
120. Devin Moore, CB
125. Zakee Wheatley, S. Tough call between Wheatley and VJ Payne.
131. Keagan Trost, OT
170. Sam Roush, TE
191. Jeff Caldwell, WR
202. Adam Randall, RB
209. DeZhaun Stribling, WR
212. Micah Morris, IOL
246. Billy Schrauth, IOL

Awful lot of depth, great late-round values.

Picks 63-131 would take this defense into top 3 category.

Are you forgetting someone?? Chris Bell.

Three WR's: mayo did I tell you are my favorite Draft Scout??

I think that with Hurst, Caldwell, Stribling and Kyle Williams you could put a lot of pressure on opposing secondaries.

I hope we Double dip their a lot of Big WR's in this Draft. I want Guys who can climb the ladder like Barefoot.

You were early on that one, kudos.

2 round mock from Rob Staton at Seahawksdraftblog:

He has the Pats taking Chris Bell at 31 and R Mason Thomas at 63. All the OTs are off the board.

I love Bell, but I go with Akheem Mesidor (33) all the way in that scenario. Depending on FA, I either double up at EDGE with Dani Dennis-Sutton at 63, or go WR with Ted Hurst, and then trade up in round 3 to try and get the other.

5 picks for 2 is NOT a good idea. The draft can be a crapshoot so the more shots you get the better. Not to mention you are moving OUT of the 1st so you shouldn't be giving up more assets than you are getting in return.

IMO you stack your board and have a clear top 20 of blue chip guys that can help you. If you see one of the blue chippers drop you do what you can to move up for a reasonable price. Otherwise you wait and see who makes it to you.

If you are as comfortable with who you would get at #40 as #31 then you could move back a round and hopefully pick up an extra 3rd round pick for your trouble.

Here's my mock draft attempt today on nflmockdraftdatabase.com.

At #23 I was happy to move up to take Monroe Freeling. The 6'7 315 lb blindside protector flashed great athleticism at the combine with a 4.93 40 at his impressive size and length with 34 3/4" arms. Freeling can compete with Campbell to protect Maye's blindside. He also has versatility to flip to RT to give us two young bookend tackles.

At #63 I was surprised to find Chris Brazzell still available. The 6'5 200 lb WR blazed a 4.37 40 at the Combine and he offers Maye a vertical deep threat with a big catch radius and allow him to lob those deep downfield passes.

In the end we double dipped at OL, DL, WR, and Edge.

Endries seems like a capable two way tight end.

Vincent Anthony Jr. offers nice length as a 6'6 250 lb pass rusher.

Our last pick Capehart ran an impressive 4.85 40 as a 6'5 320 lb lineman resulting in a 9.97 RAS.

So how did I do with this draft? Are there any steals or binkies here? Who would you rather have taken?

BTW The Eagles took Alabama tackle Kadyn Proctor with our #31 pick and WR Skyler Bell at #95. Who would you rather have Freeling or Proctor? Brazzell or Bell?
