If I am the Pats, I would consider him if his price isn't too high. Although he doesn't fit into the get younger part of the equation. I would only touch him on more of a value deal because of his age (he will be 30 at the start of the season) and injury history. When healthy, he is a difference maker. Unfortunately, the "when healthy" part is an issue.

I would definitely kick the tires on him. Vrabel has turned New England into one of the best destinations in the NFL, players loved and really enjoyed playing for him this season, and that word has definitely gotten around the NFL. Who knows, he may love the idea of playing here?

30 years old. I don't want to pay a premium for him.

Big drop off in 2025 from 2023. Older guys with all the wear and tear coming off a down season is a pass for me, especially a guy with a history of knee issues.

And specifically, he also displayed that this is a great place in which to get your tires kicked with the crew of vets he brought in and excelled with in 2025. He wants to go younger but if he can snag a potential very strong depth piece and say "you have a shot at the playoffs and SB appearance here and can ride off into the sunset playing the best football" and get them to play on friendly contracts?

Are they going to resign Cole Strange?

Anyway, Chubb is more of my idea of who I want at DE rather than a guy who gets washed out too easily.

Chubb will almost certainly be designated as a "Post June 1st Cut" so they maximize the salary cap savings..

They don't get any actual relief until 6/2, though, so they may just bite the bullet.

100%.
We saw how quickly Judon fell off a cliff.
No thanks for me.

Miami garage sale to afford Tua.

Dolphins are going to be awful next year…possibly to get into the Arch Manning sweepstakes for 2027.

Jets talking about giving up “whatever it takes” to go get Medoza.

Bills hired an unproven HC and also have an aging roster.

There’s a very open window for the Pats to own the division if they can continue making smart moves.
