A lot of the rankings will change as we get closer to draft day but I figured why not play a mock and see who could be joining the Patriots next season?
With this draft I focused a lot on the lines.
I moved up in the 1st to secure Kadyn Proctor, a 6'7 366 lb man mountain. He can either compete with Campbell for LT or take the LG spot and kick Wilson into center. Either way with his solid anchor and blot out the sun mass Proctor won't struggle against the power rush and will help establish a clean pocket for Drake Maye on that left side.
Next I moved down from the 2nd round to recoup some lost draft capital. In the 3rd round we selected Ted Hurst, a 6'3, 207 lb WR from Georgia State who gives Drake Maye a big pass target with a large catch radius to help improve our red zone conversion rate. Hurst is adept at climbing the ladder and converting over smaller corners.
We further reinforced the OL with OG Keylan Rutledge from Georgia Tech. at pick #99 of the 3rd. The 6'4 316 lb guard is known for his aggressive blocking and play strength.
With pick #129 we select productive pass rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton from Penn State. The 6'5 268 lb EDGE has a consistent motor and produced 8.5 sacks and 3 fumbles in 2025.
At #131 we draft another RB to give us depth with Mike Washington Jr. The 6-2 223 lb back offers prototypical size and surprising speed in pads.
At #163 we take a mismatch 6'7 240 lb TE Tanner Koziol.
We then picked late for potential and got two more edge rushers in Tyreak Sapp and Caden Curry.
Ballhawking CB Daylen Everette rounded out our draft.
Results:
So how did I make out? Did I pick any of your binkies, who did I miss?
Here's the draft site I used: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft
I like that it's free and it allows trades.
This is how the 1st round shook out according to their simulator.
