We know the history of super bowl losers....not many make it back to the playoffs...I'm early in on 7-10 next season
Maybe because we also play a much tougher schedule next year. I still feel very good about this team. I mean we came off back to back 4 win seasons. Vrabel made this team good enough to beat up on bad teams, but we still have a talent deficiency. This was year one of a rebuild under a new HC.

And Darnold, who was considered to be a lost cause, is about to raise a Lombardi. How do you think Jets fans are feeling tonight?

Way to find the silver lining!

Pats were gutless, especially on the Oline. Seattle is throwing punches with no repercussions and these guys took it without a murmur.

I think Tom did one time but I don't remember if it was in Tampa. Godwin comes to mind I think
That's more of an outlier than a rule. Tom Brady was a master at putting the ball only where the receiver could get it and be out of danger when making the play.

I think that kind of meaningful ball placement will come to Maye with time but today was definitely not his day.

Drake is younger than some QBs coming out of this draft.

Yes he was ****ing ****. Pathetic and it's a stain he can't remove without a Superbowl win but it's not all his fault.

He will be better after this year's playoffs.

There’s really nothing worse in the NFL than being stuck with a slightly better than mediocre quarterback.

Stop it, every single Maye pass was off the mark, he has no pocket presence, has fumble Ten times in the playoffs and threw several WTF passes that were or should have been picked.
That would be true if he had any kind of an offensive line. Since he does not your criticism on Drake is not on point.

Right, but he’s the GOAT. We’re trying to turn Maye into a good-to-great QB. And it’s going to be a learning process.
The early Brady? Brady had a better performing OL and he had a mediocre 2nd season.

Campbell should never last LT again after these playoffs.

Blame McDaniels for a horrible game plan. It's like he didn't know the Hawks could rush the passer or blitz, calling primarily slow developing pass plays with no hot reads or checkdowns.

There were some check downs that could have converted into 1st downs that Drake did not see.

I can't blame McD and the skill players for this mess.

It's the OL and Maye that threw this game away.

McDaniels didn't call Maye running into sacks, holding the ball way too long compared to what was reasonable, missing wide open receivers, throwing into triple coverage, and the left side of the line letting everyone from Bad Bunny's performance past them

Nope. He never had an offensive line this bad. And his receivers were better than the group we have. And he had an awesome tight end as well. Especially in the last half of his career. Bad comparison.

Huh? Maye looked dazed and confused out there from the opening. He was like this against the Broncos too. Multiple posters blamed the weather.

The LT/LG combo isn't the answer for 2026.

The question they have to answer is do you draft a LG and plug him in or draft a LT and move Campbell to LG, once you draft a LG you're basically committing to Will Campbell at tackle for another 2 years.,

This punter is something

Some part of me wonders if he was limited by Maye’s knowledge of the scheme and ability to execute it
No, his offense needs a quick outlet and a dominant TE. The OL was overrated and have been exposed in the postseason.

I do believe this is the last time they ever let him go without a top 10 OL. That's the beauty of this game. The OL will be changed.
The OL is still a Huge Priority going forward. It was EXPOSED badly today by Seattle.

After today it's clear that we still need a #1 LT so we can kick Campbell into Guard and Wilson into Center.

Don't get me wrong this season was still a huge success just making it to the Superbowl, but the Patriots still have serious roster issues to address in the offseason.
