The Rams were 14 point favorites. This one’s lopsided, but not like that.

That was the betting public. Which are much more split on this game for a far more reasonable outcome.

Almost all of the media is not taking the Patriots. It's at over 90% Seahawks.

I don't even think it was that lopsided in 01.
Don’t remember but 14 pt underdog seems like it might have been.

I am saving all of my anger for when Drake misses a wide open pass, someone drop a ball, we do not get pressure on every snap even though that is unrealistic, Gonzo allows JSN to catch a ball, McD makes a bad playcall or any number of things that I will get irrationally upset with.
Way to be optimistic

I was a wreck pre superbowl wait period in the past, this year so relaxed. I feel we are back to playing with house money and should go out with nothing to lose and play loose.

If you haven't listened, how do you know there isn't any?
Because everything I've heard is terrible

All this week reminds me why the NFL is stupid to make it a two week break between the Conference Championships and the Super Bowl. I have watched and listen to the media and fans continue to inflate the Seahawks more and more into an all time great team and the Pats into a team that would have been 7-9 with a tougher schedule. The way people are talking about this game I can’t see why anyone would want to watch it if they weren’t a Pats or Seahawks fan.

I do know know what it was like to be a Giants fan in January/February of 2008, but at least then the Pats were an all time great team and the Giants weren’t anything special during the regular season and got hot in the playoffs.

Im not gonna look up all the publications but here is ESPN

4 out of the 22 picks here have the Patriots winning. So somewhere around 18%

Which is in line with the percentage of the ESPN picks out now which I think was 47 out of 58 picking Seattle

So my point about it not even being this bad in 01 isn't quite there but it's close. Patriots winning this game or being picked to win this game shouldn't be this lopsided. Seattle isn't the 01 Rams.

Maybe he’s just practicing for the GDT.
LMAO.

I am actually super relaxed right now and have been telling myself that regardless of the outcome this season has been a success and the future is bright. I thought the Pats would win 11 games and get bounced in the first round. This team has far exceeded my expectations so if they lose I will be disappointed but will try not to get mad.

I think the Pats win this game by 6 despite the fact that I think the Seahawks are a better roster. I have went back and watched quite a few Seatle games and do not think they are head and shoulders better than us, but I can see more paths of Seatle winning than the Pats. But as we know the better team does not always win in a one game elimination.

They are gonna unleash the amoeba defense again imo. Darnold ain't gonna have a clue what's going on. Nor will his line.

Thats my best guess.
Not sure we have amoeba defense personnel.

I can live with a loss only if it doesn't come from ******** calls out of our hands.

Looking at the refs here.

10 out of 10 pick the Seahawks
The Ringer’s Super Bowl LX Predictions

Coaching and talent mismatch.

This game is going to come down to a few things but the most important one is how Darnold is going to handle pressure.

If they're knocking him around like Herbert than I don't see how he doesn't have a couple turnovers.

On the flip side that's true for Maye as well. Regular season Maye shows up then I don't see how they lose. The issue is he's been pretty mundane in all 3 playoff games outside a couple big time throws in the Texans game.

Maye can't get sacked 5 times and has 3 turnovers. That will be impossible to overcome.

24-16, Seahawks

MVP: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Unlikely hero: DeMarcus Lawrence

Sheil Kapadia: I think there are two ways that the Patriots could win: One, Drake Maye puts the team on his back (possible!). Two, Sam Darnold turns into a pumpkin (also possible!). But I think that the Seahawks are the better team on a down-to-down basis. I think that their defensive front will control the game against New England’s shaky offensive line, and I give Mike Macdonald a big edge over Josh McDaniels from a coaching perspective. On the other side of the ball, the Patriots like to play a lot of man coverage, and Smith-Njigba destroys man coverage. I see a competitive game, with the Seahawks doing just enough offensively to be crowned champs.

I don't understand how this reporter gives Macdonald a big edge over a coach who has been to 10 superbowls. I think Macdonald is a very good coach but I feel like the media is wrong thinking he has a coaching edge in this game. Vrable has won three rings and like I mentioned above Josh has coached in 10 and won 6. Macdonald is going to have his hands full with the pats coaching staff. GO PATS!

Wow, some of those writers were full of dumb s...

Like this idiocy: "For all the fears that Darnold will make a dumb turnover (or three), people have forgotten that Maye had more combined picks and fumbles in the Patriots-Texans game than C.J. Stroud did. "

Since when is 2 > 4?

Have ew started counting fumbles recovered as turnovers, or something?

Maye had 4 fumbles and an Interception. What the guy failed to mention is that Maye only lost 2 of the 4 fumbles..
Stroud had 4 interceptions and no fumbles.
5>4.

The guy was playing semantics. Especially since Seattle's DEs are no where close to Anderson and Hunter. Demarcus Lawrence had only 6 sacks on the season.
