I don't know why people are desperate to be snubbed. Almost nobody here can remember the exact picture at the NFL Honors that were used for HOF'ers last year. He's not going on stage this summer decked out in a Colts jersey.
 
For the baseball hall of fame your bust has one team's cap on it. Football, no. You go in as a player and the bust has no team association. Now, the plaque will mention your career accomplishments. With AV I'd have to think those will be more NE than Indy.

Happy for him, but there are so many Pats that should be there. Willie, Rodney, Vince to name just a few.
 
Thrilled for Adam and his family for his HOF induction. GOAT kicker and can't thank him enough for the clutch kicks during the first dynasty. Well deserved.
 
Good for Adam.

He played for a long time and made some CLUTCH kicks along the way.

If any kicker deserves to get in, it's him.
 
Love Vinatieri but there's no way he belongs in the HOF over Vince Wilfork. The Hall of Fame is a ****ing joke.

Fair or not (it's not), Vinatieri will always be remembered for three defining plays in his career. Wilfork does not have that stand out SB play that will be played forever. The position he plays is tough to get induction too.

Wilfork, Kraft, Bill, & Brady will all get in from SB winning teams. Seymour & Law are already in.

NFL players don't go in representing one particular team. Only baseball.

It's hard to believe he spent more years in Indy. All of his memorable moments came as a Patriot.

The inferiority complex and persecution syndrome are very real. Those two stolen first round draft picks are not being returned. No one has ever publicly, nationally, objectively and specifically called out the thousands of idiot Patriots critics spewing the last 56 years. I could do it, post a 20 minute YouTube video for example. Our founding owner was a cheap and easy target. Charley Finley wasn't popular but no one ever said those champion A's teams sucked or weren't worthy.

NFL Network isn't going to air a documentary pointing out the fact that the league commissioner of 19 years is a complete clown, along with all the media and opponents blathering their ignorant, stupid, nonfactual rhetoric for over half a century.

So I agree with you. We're good, and it's not our fault almost everyone else sucks.

Vince Wilfork played one of the hardest positions in football, was double teamed his entire career, and still dominated. Never once did I come away from a game saying " man, Wilfork played bad today" until he tore his Achilles at the end of his career. The Patriots have all sorts of HOF worthy candidates, but none, other than Brady deserve a first ballot HOF vote than Wilfork, vinatieri is definitely a HOF worthy kicker, but not over Wilfork. The Hall proved itself to be a ****ing joke this year. Their personal biases shined through. Demented old ****s like Pollian should not have a vote.

Doesn't matter. The HOF should be for players who dominated at their position throughout their career, and Wilfork dominated his entire career despite being double teamed throughout it.

What was Barry Sanders " standout SB play?"!

VW is worthy but I put him on the same level as AV and Rodney.
