It really just comes down to the voters being mad that they couldn’t give it to Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes again, and they sure as **** weren’t giving it to a damn Patriots QB again so they latched onto the next best thing with a pulse.

They've been doing that **** for decades. Brady should have had at least one or two more, but not when the voters can snub that Pats and give it to Fivehead or Fraudgers.

Maye has a chance to win the only MVP that actually matters on Sunday.
He does that, nobody will care except for the 27 seethers that voted against him.

Maybe that is good enough for you but he had a real award unjustly stolen from him and I find that to be completely unfair and unacceptable.

Winning the Superbowl MVP is great but it doesn't make good with this nonsense.

The wheels have really come off this week with this stuff. Between the HOF nonsense with Bill and Kraft and now Maye missing by 1 vote while some dumbass votes for Justin freaking Herbert, the league looks like a total clown show.

I guess the only proper way to wrap it up will be for them to have egg on their face one last time with the Pats upsetting the Seahawks that everyone’s already anointed as the champs.
In the end, if somehow the Pats can pull off the W, that will be the sweetest revenge and maybe finally would shut Orlovsky, Cam Newton and Brady up.

The joke is on them though. When they snub these players like this, Vrabes uses it to build the chip on their shoulder ever higher, and it just leads to further domination down the road.

They vote against the Patriot to try to deny them success, but in doing so, drive them to even further heights.

They needed to rank their votes and weight them like MLB. This is ridiculous.
They do, as of a few years ago. Voters rank 5 candidates, and points are awarded 10-5-3-2-1.

MVP is a narrative based award, don't know why people are freaking out like there is some objective way to decide it. We knew Stafford was the favorite and there's zero guarantee the other 3 would have voted for Maye over him anyways

I was pissed off in about 15 out of the 20 years TB12 didn't win the MVP. Nobody in the league while he was playing was more valuable to his team.

This missed MVP for Maye? It's worse. Worse because he was laughed at by the Bears. Roasted by a lot for being picked 3rd. Everyone in the draft is better than him. Then all he does is go out and set record, break record that only QBs such as Marino, Brady, Manning etc set....72 percent comp, took a team from 3-14 to the SB.

Thats worse imo. Or it seems worse to me in the moment at least.

This guy basically decided the MVP vote, his ball knowledge is as bad as his endzone awareness.

Also almost every year there are fringe MVP votes given out. Jalen Hurts got an MVP vote two years ago when Mahomes won. Cooper Kupp got one the year before when Rodgers won. The year Matt Ryan beat Brady, Elliot and Prescott got votes.

Orlovsky has been wrong so many times....yet ESPN treats him as if he is some kind of Einstein genius savant.

Here’s how the points ranked. Drake lost by 5 points, the equivalent of one second-place vote

If a few folks who presumably voted Allen or McCaffrey 2nd (since they had 91 and 71 points) had instead voted Drake 2nd, Drake may have won the award even with fewer 1st place votes. Which really would’ve been interesting to watch lol

Christian McCaffrey finishing fourth is a bigger ****ing travesty than Justin Herbert getting a throwaway vote from a Patriots-hater.

Luke Kuechly?? Are you ****ing kidding me?

If it wasn’t for Mark Sanchez Einstein would be the proud owner of the all time bonehead play.

Tbf he's got a 5x first team all pro, and 2x second team and a defensive player of the year and was on the all decade team.

Being top 2 at your position for basically his whole career is as HOF as you can get, 8 seasons and 7 of them all pro.

Kuechly: DROY, DPOY, 5x First Team All Pro, 2x Second Team All Pro, 2x combined tackle leader, 2010 First Team All Decade.

In what world is he not a HOF'er?

Yeah, he played just long enough (imo) and has a pretty good resume, including a DPOY.

This isn't a Terrell Davis situation.

He's a good player but he only played 8 seasons at a position where you can amass a bunch of stats that might ultimately mean nothing for the outcome of the game. I can think of a few other LBs who had longer and equal or better careers who probably won't be in the HOF.

edit: It took Zach Thomas 10 years of eligibility. London Fletcher is not in the HOF. Keith Brooking is not. Demeco Ryans isn't. Will Lavonte David be in the HOF?
