11years ago heard the same thing - Pats receivers can’t get separation.

This.

Seattle has a #1 WR who is a beast and takes the top off of defenses. JSN will require double coverage. Meaning, Kupp and Shaheed will play big roles in this game.

There is no Edelman/Amendola duo that were so effective in SB 49 & 51. The Patriots put up 33 in SB 52. But you could tell they still missed Edelman.
They should be able to put Gonzalez on JSN. Davis on Kupp and Jones on Shaheed with the split safeties. With the Pats Pass rush, they should be able to limit Darnold's options.

If Maye is close to 100%, Seattle is in for a rude awakening.
The 2 defenses are basically a wash.
But Patriots offense with a healthy Maye is clearly superior.
The struggles with our rookie OL will keep some of the Pats scoring down. But I expect a Patriots win.
Williams and Barmore will be huge in this game. Our cbs are exceptional and the combo of those 2 things means Darnold is back to seeing ghosts. I woukd take the over on Darnold INTs.
Williams played lights out last SB. We know he has it in him

I coulda sworn that Boutte was listed as one of the better WRs at getting separation. And Diggs is almost as good as Edelman in terms of finding spots and sitting in them. He had a helluva play against the Broncos.

Wish I knew the 6 losing QB’s names. I’m positive none of them are near Maye’s talent

Kurt Warner, Jake Delhomme, Donovan McNabb, Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Jared Goff

Personally, I don’t think the Seahawks have a CB who can cover either one. Gonzo on JSN will be fun to watch. Two of the best.

I genuinely think the Patriots team is just... For lack of a better way to put it, manlier. Our interior DL is straight up violence. Barmore is a "**** around and find out" personality and Milton is just a brute. Chaisson can decleat you with raw power. Spillane is a bluecollar field janitor, just cleaning up runners. Gonzalez is a low-key nasty fighter, Davis does not shy away from throwing hands. The offense is full of people who are out for blood every game, a group of fighters and leaders.

Goddamn I want this game to start lol.
I remember the beginning of the year we were dreaming of that punch them in the nose team
It has come to fruition

I could see the game plan being bracketing JSN with Davis and a S while Gonzalez focuses on Cupp.
Seattle is so asymmetrical I would try to take away the big weapon. JSN 119 for 1793 yards and Kupp 47 for 593. JSN in a league by himself. Make them try to win with plan B. Best on best. Will be into see what they do.

I think we'll play the most man coverage that we've seen this year with the Safeties playing Cover-2.

So, going back over things, the 3 primary receiving weapons are JSN, Kupp and Barner. Shaheed is an afterthought, which is shocking to me. 15 catches on 26 targets for 188 yards..

If someone has it, I'd love to find out how many 3, 4, and 5 receiver sets the Seahawks run.. By the looks of it, not many. Which would actually play in the Pats favor because they could put Jones on Kupp and then Davis on Barner.

The two games that others teams held JSN to under 40 yards, the Seahawks trounced. The 26-0 shut out of Minnesota and the 41-6 drubbing of San Fran.

That being said, those two teams don't have the depth of CB that the Pats do. With the Pats D-line and Corners, we may just be able to limit JSN while taking away their other weapons. The D-line will have to come up big against Walker. the EDGE and LB will have to be really disciplined because Walker has the ability to juke you out of your pants.

But, I am really starting to feel the confidence that they can win it. Unlike the Denver game where I was anxious in the week leading up to it and during the game.

I wouldn't count just Gonzalez on him... Give safety help and take darnolds binkie away
Yup. I think the Pats will give him a lot of different looks. Gonzo may cover him some both with and without help.
But I bet they also bracket him with Davis and safety with Gonzo in man vs. their #2.
They can limit JSN if they really want to but it might require a few gambles here and there with other open wrs.
I believe our standout DTs will get a ton of pressure up the middle. They can soften things up and let Chaisson et al crash in on the edge. Their rbs ain't famous for pass pro.

If Walker is effective we are in trouble. But our D has been lights out so we will see. Taking away the run is #1. Spillane would help here if healthy.
