1) BB's decision making had so severely jumped the shark, and I remember at the time it was really ridiculous that Stidham didn't get time in over Cam at the end. I think it was the whole stubborn Butler-esque going to a wedding in the summer and Cam's needing to hit contract milestones.Stidham is so good that he couldn't beat out Mac Jones or the corpse of Cam Newton for a starting job in the 2020/2021 seasons. Then he went to Vegas and couldn't beat Derek Carr, and then went to Denver and couldn't beat the corpse of Russell Wilson, and then last year/this year was passed up by Bo Nix who is just a slightly improved Mac Jones.
2) Derek Carr was fairly good. 4 PBs 3rd in MVP voting.
3) Russell Wilson won a SB and went to 8 out of 9 PBs before that season. No way he wasn't
4) Physically, he's a slightly improved Mac Jones but from what I saw predraft, the guy mentally couldn't be any more different (from Patriots MacEnroe version - he's prob in a better place now, tho).
That being said, there is something to a guy with no recent tape, but for all intensive porpoises [sic], this really should be an absolute bloodbath for the D (esp with McD on staff) unless the Pats fail to acclimate to the altitude.
