The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

If Bill farts in public and everyone nearby says it stinks the cult will take that personally and accuse them of discrediting the dynasty.

That’s the effect Dear Leader has on them. It’s really weird.

Yep, you try to shoot others down and at the same time don't offer any plausible alternates that can fit the facts we do have.

If it isn't praise and glory for Bill, then it has to be erased.

Bill himself did that by sitting Malcolm, for what we know are "personal reasons".

You refuse to contemplate what those reasons could be for your own "personal reasons".

If we accept your version of event then what you're saying is that Bill crapped on the franchise by forcing Butler to fight a coach.

Yeah.... in the 6th round. After giving every NFL team multiple chances to get him instead. Amazing draft evaluation deciding that Adrian Klemm, J.R. Redmond, Greg Randall, Dave Stachelski, Jeff Marriot and Antwan Harris were more important gets than Tom Brady. What brilliance.

**** Rehbein deserve the credit for that pick - though Belichick is plenty happy to take it.

Yeah if it was as genius a pick as many say it was then Bill would have drafted him in the first round and before anyone else could grab him. I don't blame him for not doing so given the information out there at the time but let's not pretend taking a flyer on a 6th round pick is some brilliant genius checkers 5D chess thing.
 
Let that sink in. BB benched a guy for personal reasons that severely weakened his team's chances to win a Super Bowl and - surprise! They lost. Would have been a back to back and maybe the first threepeat the following season if things played out the same. Brady sure did his part.

And yeah it was personal reasons not performance. If it was performance he would have been benched much sooner than gameday and probably cut outright.

Amendola despises Bill for that even to this day. Brady was unhappy and Gronk was so unhappy he was musing about retirement post game.

Let there be no doubt. The fact Bill is petty enough to ban Patriots scouts from UNC means he absolutely is petty enough to sit Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl for the entire game knowing what he was doing to his team on the field. Threw away a Super Bowl because he's that much of a spiteful jerk and still is today.
