Gronk trade completed

That fuchfjding Bucks team I fucbdhding hate that team already!!

Van Noy was traded for a swap of a 6th and 7th round pick, so basically for free. Big difference compared to trading a 3rd or whatever.

I just think the tight end position is going to continue to be devalued in the modern NFL. There's only a handful of tight ends who are better than a team's third or even fourth receiver and a player like Kelce is mainly used as a receiver anyways. You look for guys who can make mismatches regardless of their listed position and most of those guys are receivers. Tight end is just kind of a dead position in college, only a handful of teams use one (Iowa, Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame) so those guys are your only options and they end up overdrafted a lot of the time.

I never said I would trade a 3rd for him. I think its obvious they aren't getting a 3rd for him. I also wasn't arguing to get him in the Gronk trade. It was just a comment about not giving up on him because he's been a bust. BB has rekindled many a career here. Thats all.

We got a 4th round pick from Tampa in exchange for Gronk and a 7th. We got something out of nothing essentially since Gronk had previously been retired. I don't see what the big deal is.

What I am concerned about is that the Patriots never drafted a TE replacement even when the writing was on the wall that Gronk wanted to hang em up after the Superbowl win over the Rams.

I think that's the biggest mistake Bill made.

People act like we ignored receiving talent for Tom last year, but the team had Gordon who regressed, drafted Harry then watched him get hurt, signed Brown then watched him crap on himself, traded for Sanu and watched him get hurt ..... just bad luck there.

But doing absolutely nothing at TE was a big mistake by Bill.

The elephant in the room even BB ballwashers can't deny:
WHY ARE WE "UP AGAINST THE CAP" with a team of no stars(exception Gilmore), geriatrics and mediocre bums? This 2020 team stinks. I guess "fate" just mismanaged the roster huh?

I’ll ballwash.

He was the SB winning coach 1.5 years ago and he went 12-4 in his « worst season in years ». Love BB.

How is this a real discussion? Brees and Rodgers only have one SB each, that’s how hard it is to win one

What exactly will be interesting to see ? The Bucs almost most certainly will have a better record this season.

Brady went to a team that has a lot more talent given that they have been drafting almost exclusively in the top 10 or low teens. Especially now after getting Gronk anything but a SB title is a disappointment over there.

Whereas a winning season for the Pats would be quite the accomplishment while they rebuild.

I see it as a win/win. We get to see Brady hopefully dominate and deny Mahomes and KC another title while we also can enjoy seeing how BB starts his rebuild. Best of both worlds really.
Lmao. Come on man. We are talking about the 7-9 Bucs. The only thing that has changed is Tom Brady.

If the Bucs go 12-4 and deep in the playoffs, it will be due to Tom Brady’s arrival. You are trying to lower expectations for Belichick and raise Brady’s expectations to the ceiling. If Bill is so great the Patriots will win the division and be a legitimate playoff team.

A lot of Patriots fans have become very, very spoiled.

If the bucs are out there raising a banner you can take the players side if you like but I'm gonna look at it as a missed opportunity for number 7.

Gronk did what was best for him and I dont fault him for it.

But its crazy to see bill lose two goats for a 4th round pick and a likely 3rd round comp pick.

We’d have number 7 if Butler played 2-3 snaps vs Philadelphia

Amazing that there are so many BB haters out here. What a crock....first ballot hall of fame coach with 3rd most wins of all time. Let's see he presided over teams than won 6 SB's and were in another 3.
Yet all you hear out here from these BB haters is how terrible he is, how much every player hates him, what a terrible G M he is, how he does not know how to draft.

Give me a break...there are hundreds of players who have played very hard for him, whom he got the best out of and who he made TONS of many for by coaching them up.

So for the BB haters....you do not know jack about football.

OK so maybe they have one down year while they rebuild after 19 winning seasons...cry me a river....Brady and Gronk decided to move on...BB is still probably the greatest coach in the history of the NFL

Gronk really did us a solid

How can someone say something and about Gronk, BB tried to sell him to Detroit that’s ****ed up. But than again we got people hating on Brady cause BB wouldn’t commit to him

Absolutely. In this thread, and others, a lot of the "gotta get MOAR for Gronk" people ignored that, or didn't realize how that works.
