By the way @robertweathers we also watched Christmas Vacation as a cult film growing up. Still remember going with my dad and brother when it was at the theater and laughing for days afterwards.

How about Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? That along with Home Alone and Christmas Vacation makes up our Holiday trilogy.

John Candy as a polka star (dominating the Sheboygan market) and then a shower curtain ring salesman. Lol!

Those aren't pillows!

I tend to agree with your thoughts here re: a rush to judgement on Stidham, but damn— you’re really coming in hot, here.

I don’t know why people can be such asses to each other, but there’s no need to shame them or make fun of them. It’s possible that this poster doesn’t watch as much as you do due to other obligations, or that their “gen1 iPad” is all they can afford or know how to use. Maybe they don’t spell as well as you do, so what? At the end of the day, all he really did was offer up a different opinion about football. Relax, man.

Not only that but we’re talking about preseason, if Stidham is starting next year we’ll be looking up at Buffalo for years to come.

Unpopular opinion: Whatever team Brady signs with, we will trade Edelman to that team!

So the Patriots trade Edelman to themselves?
What do they have to give up?

I dont think Brady comes back. I think he leaves for another team.

Why does extreme Brady devotion seem to cause people to write such stupid things? If you stopped jerking off to Brady modeling photos on your Gen1 iPad and watched their preseason games last year, you would understand how dumb it is to make make that statement at this point in Stidham’s career.

PS. It’s DRAGGED, Einstein.
It’s called Xanax. Buy some.

Bill Belichick liked Lawyer Milloy personally, but not his contract value with Patriots

It’s over. Belichick and the Krafts are moving on from Brady. That’s the only reason these stories are surfacing from Curran now (yesterday’s was how Brady ascension wasn’t an accident; that, even without Mo Lewis, Brady would have eventually replaced Bledsoe). Today’s revisits one of the more controversial decisions in Belichick’s regime. Tomorrow it will probably be Seymour. The Krafts are most likely the source as they justify letting the “icon of the organization “ go.

To me, I see Brady’s decline. The almost always present minor injuries that limit his practice time and subsequently his play. It’s still sad all the same. I root for the laundry but sometimes the player plays in it well enough or long enough that you come to care about the player as well. None more so than Tom Brady.

This was and is my personal opinion too based simply on "perception"...

Let s see...

Not unless it's a great deal for the Patriots. Bill and Tom will both badly want to do better than the other, Bill won't be doing Tom any favors by trading him his favorite WR.

I don't think it'd be Bill doing a favor, I think it would be TB's new team going the extra mile in their commitment to him (and maybe overpaying by a round in terms of draft pick) in order to secure him a WR he is extremely comfortable with on and off the field.

God I hate this offseason

Depends what you mean by overpaying. For example I don't think a #2 would be enough.

What's the last day he can sign before the accelerated dead cap hits?

It’s hard to know what’s true and what isn’t, but more and more I’m getting the sense that BB doesn’t want Brady back, at least not with a high price tag. I always felt that he preferred Jimmy G value-wise and never wanted to trade him.

There are varied reports out there regarding a market for Brady, but I’m leaning towards Brady moving on and I didn’t feel that way a couple weeks ago.

I don't know. I think most of us understand next year will be a transition/rebuild year if Brady walks. Bill will get some grace period from the fans.
In Bill we trust. Why would you pay a 43 year old QB more than one year at a time? That's the only thing that makes sense. I don't know how good TB was last year. Whiney, self centered, a different Tom. Some games he looked bad. People cite injuries. That's the point, age, more susceptible to nagging injuries and he has had them the last few years. Even if you signed him for 15 Mill, tack on the 6.75 you are nearly 22mill against the cap for 20 and if its 13 tacked on after the league year begins thats 28 mill on the cap for a 43 year old QB. I assume BB and Josh know what his performance really was last year. I don't want the 2019 personality back.

Both fair arguments. Both TB and BB are competitive people. The inherent part of being competitive is wanting to demonstrate your ability, mostly by beating everyone else. I think we're giving human nature too much credit if we don't think each wants to demonstrate their ability to win without the other, and therefore outperform the other with their respective teams (if it comes to that).

BB's economics mindset might override things if he thinks he's getting overpaid on an Edelman trade (but then that's a really bare cupboard at WR without other moves). At the same time, if it's a good draft pick this year, maybe he thinks he hurts the team Brady goes to, with the foremost consideration in BB's mind still being what's best for the Patriots.
