Really, really hard to say this but it’s time to move on from Brady. My first born will be named after him and I will always appreciate what he has done. It’s just time. Edelman isn’t getting younger or any more durable. Let’s either roll with Stidham and rebuild around him or go with a bridge year with Fitz. Either one I’m okay with.

Better get that QB some better weapons that’s for sure if they move on from brady.

Vrabel's strategy to take time off the clock is genius. I do question why the Titans are celebrating so much. I mean you won a WC game. Lol. And holy heck is BB being nasty in the postgame right now. My godness he is miserable right now.
would have backfired if Pats could have just gotten a FG(jules drop killed them)..he would have left his team less time to score with a run dominated offense

90 percent of these careers don’t end with “great memories.” Montana went to a different team, Favre, etc. The only QBs who did it are Elway and Manning with a noodle arm. Players rarely ever dictate their end. Brady’s legacy is forever cemented and is the greatest football player to ever live. Plain and simple.

To wit, Marino's last game was the most lopsided playoff game in NFL history, Montana's last game was a loss to Marino's Dolphins in a Wild Card game, Young's career ended midseason due to concussions, Favre's did as well and his team lost 40-14 in that game, Unitas went 2-9 with 2 INTs in his last game and waa benched for Fouts, while Fouts dropped 6 straight games in his last year as a starter after starting 8-1 and in his last appearance threw 3 picks.

No one really went out well -- and even if Brady retired on top last year, just like Manning people would have pointed out he didn't do much at all in the Super Bowl itself. It's a good story but in the end nobody cares or remembers that stuff.

Pats lost on the margin tonight. That's usually how their season ends. That they've also won 6 titles on the margins shows how lucky we've been as fans. 31 other teams would kill to see their teams lose in the playoffs in a one score game year after year and pull out multiple titles in the interim.

Regards,
Chris

Love the man, but damn, it felt like a brutal year for Edelman. Crucial drop, after drop, after drop. Led the league in drops, in fact. Makes me sad.

Oh, that's right. There is ONLY 1 WR playing for the Patriots, Edelman...

:D

Yeah, Newhouse was an epic fail this year. Hopefully, he won' the a part of this team next year

I'll never forget that image of Newhouse running along the line, not attempting to block anyone, and then tripping over his own feet. Thanks, Marshall.

lol hope that’s sarcasm.
Athletically gifted and strong as hell, but football IQ is horrendous. Almost never on same page as Brady, not running the correct routes etc.

I am not optimistic that his game will be fixed miraculously next year. it was a terrible year for the kid

As far as Sanu on record hating the thought of the trade before it ever happened when I read we tried to trade for him during the draft I threw up in my mouth.
When we traded a second for him I thought are you kidding me is he that big a upgrade from even a Maurice Harris.
Trading Demaryious Thomas premature was assnine.
Sanu makes Caldwell look like Randy Moss.
If we pissed away a second as we love to do it should of at least been a unknown gunner third string safety from some division 2 school.
I stand by my prediction that number 14 gets cut in the offseason around training camp. Makes even more sense to get rid of his salary if Brady leaves.

Did Brady just refer to the Patriots as “they?”

I’m starting to think the O line was the biggest disappointment thru couldn’t get the job done Watson made some touch catches and dropped a even worse throw from Tom.
Here is the problem with retaining Tom we need A lot of help we need to hit it big in free agency to just compete next season.
Brady’s cap will cripple this team.
I know know it BB knows it my thought is BB will move forward with Stidham and use the cap to assure there are no weak spots.
We should be trying to trade average players like Michel and sell high on Mason.
We need to trade a few vets to get some picks back.
There are going to be a lot of jobs next year that are going to be manned by new people, whether is is retirements, people cut loose or older players getting hurt. When you make deep runs every year, the tendency is to keep the core group together. Changes eventually have to come. Not a total blow-up, but I think big changes are coming.

Brady:

"Who knows what the future holds."

"No one has had a better career than me" because of Patriots/Kraft/Belichick

"I don't know what the future looks like."

"Pretty unlikely" he'll retire.

Bill's doing his Presser - what a treat..

BB did as bad a job with his press conference as he did with his coaching.

What a train wreck of a day for him.

Terrible performance. Only Bailey played well. Henry destroyed us.

Bailey with his 29 yard punt that almost sealed an early end to the game.

Will you retire?

"Hopefully unlikely"

Odd answer .

I hope Brady stays for another year, I think they can still win a Super Bowl with him. The loss doesn’t really sting that much, I mostly just miss the entertainment over the next week, always great to look forward to a game.

If I were TB, I would tell BillB that only way I am staying is if you give me legitimate WRs and TEs.
