The next narrative with a drum that they might be trying to start beating in New York:

NFL rumors: How Patriots’ Bill Belichick could return to the Giants

Not a completely outrageous scenario, but it would seemingly be a tall order and at this stage, it would be hard to imagine him wanting to invest the amount of time it would potentially take to fix that franchise.

I’m off patsfans for 8-10 hrs and I come back to find rumors of Belichick leaving, reports that players in the locker room are fighting with each other, and an official statement from the team admitting that they unknowingly participated in a new cheating scandal. What the hell is going on right now?

Let's not get crazy. The season is going on.Be better focused on games not media's speculations.

Super bowl win or not I’m ready to get away from the game for a bit after this season. I’ve let myself get way too upset and stressed out with something that’s outta my control. This team always has some bs controversy whether it be true or not big or small around it.

One way or another, I’m looking forward to the offseason for the first time in a long time.

It’s the curse of AB.

If I said this, I would only be half-joking.

AB is definitely one of the worst things that has happened to the Patriots fanbase in a while. At least on this forum it's pretty ****ing insufferable that every time Brady throws an incomplete pass or we fail to pick up a 3rd down there's about 20 people rushing to turn the GDT into a Pro-AB public forum.

When Bob can’t take the edge off in peace and comfort, Patriots universe comes apart

New Yorkers (including those of the New Jersey variety; in fact, especially those of the New Jersey variety) can never wrap their minds around the idea that some people prefer living somewhere else. They think BB is pining away for New York, I think he likes it more than just fine in Foxboro and Nantucket.

This is a fantasy for a frustrated Giants fan looking at another in what is now a fairly long stretch of lousy seasons under the great and mighty "ThanksGrandpa" Mara.

I look forward to the days when the Patriots are not the top sports story around the nation. I've had enough of all this spotlight attention mostly field by jealousy. I think back fondly at the early 1990's when the Patriots were the cute local teddy bear, liked yet laughed at by the other franchise fanbases across the country. An empty stadium, muddy parking lots, 1-15, 3-12 records, no local tv, high school announcers. mentioned nationally maybe once a season. Yes, those were the days! I'm tired of being a SB contender every year.

It's a fan forum. What position are you playing on Sunday? ;)

This article is daft. He’s not going to go to the Giants without full control, which he basically has in NE. Tim and Wellington Mara are dead. He probably doesn’t know Jack very well. The connection to the Giants is almost two decades ago.

I’ve got news for you - it isn’t just New Yorkers. It’s the entire region of New England and Pennsylvania, too. All of them move down here and spend most of their time talking to anyone who will listen about how great it is where they came from. Hey assh0le, what are you doing down here then? Move back up there if it’s so great.

Pretty sure Bill likes being remembered as the guy who helped them win a Super Bowl and is happy where he is here, so I just don't see it. Just a market with a 2-11 team hoping for anything at this point. If I recall correctly, there was similar speculation a couple of years ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if they keep bringing it up down there. I would too given how bad things have been there in recent years.

Belichick didn’t come to NE to coach a team, he came to NE to build an organization, and he’s been doing that for the past twenty years. He’s not going anywhere to coach a team, and he’s not going somewhere to start over at building an organization, which takes years to do. He will stay a Patriot until he retires.

I can live through losing seasons but my god those years were such a train wreck.

There is no next job for Bill. After this is retirement.
