My first thread: Rookie Shake-Up's/Trades

Do you guys think we'll see any draftee trades? I'm new to watching the off-season (spent my last 10 years a casual observer and jonesing to move to Boston) and I know some unwilling draftees have done something like that in the past.

So all you guys who are seasoned fanatics... any predictions on shake-up's in the draft class?

There have been some instances where the player is not happy where he was drafted a la Elway and a la Eli Manning but those are usually handled right around the draft...I can't recall a player being drafted by a team and than a few days prior to camp being traded. Even if it has occurred I wouldn't expect it.

wouldn't it just be nicer if you ignored it and let the mods deal with it. is it really neccessary that you point out to anyone and everyone that there is another thread on a particular topic? Especially this being the guys first thread. Way to be hospitable.

I'll be honest... Gholston hasn't signed yet and well... just saying.

These two recent "signings" by us just seem... barely newsworthy? Like I wonder if we technically still have three roster spots?

But anyway, so many guys haven't signed yet, and I know the CBA may be to blame, but I just wondered if there was ANY history of camp-time rookie shuffles.

They're very rare, because of the way the rookie cap works: the rookie cap allotment is given to the team that drafts in a particular slot, regardless of who actually signs the player. The net upshot is that to sign someone else's drafted rookie, you have to give up some of your drafted rookies as well.
