The guy screwed up and he admits it. That to begin with takes something. It's not an easy thing to do, so why not give the guy a chance to explain it all.

Everyone deserves an opportunity to explain, and to make things good.

It could turn out to have a good ending and we may have gained a good ally in the media who feels he has a lot of making up to do for Pats fans.

Oh Great!!! That's all we need is Tomase covering the Arlen Spector fiasco now. Anyway if you wanted to build any kind of cred "back up" I suggest you

Do your research on Spector and his ties to Comcast. Then wrote a really nice piece on how much of an ass clown this guy is without being objective and just tell the public what noone else has the balls to do. Spector wants to break or weaken Direct TV's stranglehold on the NFL ticket. The story is there if you just dig it up. He doesn't care if this team stole signals. Why should he? He wants to waste many more millions of America's tax dollars on something we already know. The Patriots video taped signals and Goodel burned some tapes. Oh and by the way, baseball players do do steroids. It didn't take a gazillion dollars to figure that one out. Oh wait...yes it did. Again it all comes down to the anti trust exemption. He is willing to make the country pay just so he can help out the shareholders.

Boston media needs writers that are heroes, not pavaratzies about this time. Tell it how it is and how New Englanders wants to hear it. Incase you reporters didn't realize it, we are quite into ourselves and our sports teams, these last few years especially. We are highly successful and in the Golden Age of our sports fans lives. You writers may never see another time like this where three sports franchises are competing for titles. 2 of them consistently. You people just don't get how much it pisses most of us off when you go looking for dirt when everything is fine and dandy. Some Boston reporter has to have the balls to make a stand against Spector. It's not like the Herald has anything to lose right now and may get back a few subscriptions along the way. If Spector can make a national campaign against the Patriots? Why can't one of the biggest newspapers report the doings of some Senator.
