Ummm, Trey, how' bout the fact that the Panthers OUTSCORED the Pats in that 2nd half?

Look out Trey, here comes a fact!:

Ist half: Pats 14-10
2nd Half: Panthers 19-18.

And people wonder about "The Dumbing Down of America"????

Facts are stubborn things, Trey. Get a brain.....and maybe you'd learn that, pointwise, the Pats were far better in the FIRST half of that game.

Further, Trey, how 'bout that Pittsburgh playoff game where you say the Pats had such a big advantage - - what turned that game, Trey? 2 SPECIAL TEAMS TD's!

Man, NOTHING could ever be gleaned from these tapes. Cleary Bill Belichick ordered them to be made so he could show them at family reunions.

The value of the tapes is not at issue here. The main focus of "Spygate" is that the Pats were taping signals and then using that info later on in the second half of the game. Obviously the videos being presented have been edited to show different angles, which means they were studied later. Therefore, how could the outcome of the games from which these tapes were made be affected if the Pats were not reviewing them until after they were edited?

They're hyping up their own speculations so much, that they're starting to speak as if it's fact. They seem absolutely convinced now that those tapes were used in-game.

In the space of 20 minutes, they've gone from Schlereth wondering if the taps could be broken down at halftime, to "should everyone associated with the Patriots be embarrassed for stealing signals and using them within the game?"

Well-said (and welcome to the Board). The problem is that they feel they can get away with this, in part, because the Pats don't have a strategy to respond, literally, while the guy is still speaking. If someone says something often enough, people begin to believe it unless it is refuted. What's going on on at this moment on ESPN is an example of this. They've taken guesses and unsupported charges and turned them into facts. They know that they won't be held accountable for what they are doing, so they get away with it.
