PFT: Fins shopping Taylor

I would love to see this happen, but I don't see how Miami would do it--it would weaken their defense, and I'm not sure Parcells wants to give up his first next year unless he absolutely has to.

If they can get Ryan AND Long, they are a year closer to being competitive. By that time Taylor will be long gone anyways. You would hear alot of crying by pats fans on draft day.....but how much more interesting would the games be against Miami when not only would Taylor be playing his old team, division position, and then draft position. It would be like legalized gambling between BB and the Tuna!! Its a fun idea, thats whats great about this time of year.

what about a 2009 1st round pick? Its gunna be around 31 and 32 anyways do you think we could get someone at that pick as good as Taylor? Taylor would probably equal a SB no question. I dont know why Taylor would want to go to Jax they cant beat the Pats.

The Pats will never trade a future #1 pick. I would trade this year's #2, since its almost a 3, plus we have Oakland's 3, which is almost a 2. Thus, we get a starting All Pro LB that will play for at least 3 more years. When its all said and done, I think we end up acquiring an additional #2 pick to go along with Taylor. People say Tuna will never trade Taylor to the Pats, but when your offered that pick at that moment and have a player you really want, things can change.

the Pats should make a Play for him but our 1st round pick would be kinda high

It would be way too high to give up for Taylor. I can settle for the second round pick and maybe next year's number 1 (since, as someone said, it's going to be a low first rounder anyway).
