As per ed werder on espn. According to him there were a lot of skirmishes in the giants practice this week which would mean as per antonio pierce that they are raring to go.

like we were angered by the funeral suits?
Doesn't matter, the pats win on the field

It makes sense to trademark 19-0 -- why leave the field open for counterfeiters?

They will be even more angry when they are getting blown off the field after halftime and Brady is still out there chucking it deep to Moss.

LET'S GO PATRIOTS!!!!:rocker:

I don't think I've ever been made angry by the registration of a trademark. Upset, sure. Never angry.

If they think it will help, fine.

They need all the help they can get.

Yawn...try to talk yourselves into how good you are some more Giants. And if they are having skirmishes in partice it shows that they can't control their emotions, so all the better.

And Palantonio said that the Pats' practices were a bit sluggish.

My take: Intensity during the week could result in shooting their wads early.

My second take: The Patriots are better, and the anger of either team about perceived slights means extremely little on the field.

If the Pats win, they'll reference the black suits etc.

If the Giants win, they'll reference 19-0.

The Pats are going to win.

The Pats are going to win.

Of course ESPN will say that, they have just turned into a hype machine, no facts anymore just whatever gets the viewers.

F the Giants and thier anger. Palantonio wasn't at the Patriot practices and the pool reporter, Dan Pompeii, said the practices were crisp on Thursday and Friday. As for the Giants, this isn't the senior bowl where fighting in practice makes you money.

Good. I hope the Giants come out with their "skirmishes" and get a couple unnecessary roughness penalties.

Everybody is angry.... it's an angry world

How angry do they think our players are this morning? Hmm, I think it's a wash.

Let's not all be hypocrite's here, guys...if the Patriots were facing an 18-0 team, and they had trademarked 19-0, we'd all be screaming to high hell that they're a disgrace, they're arrogant and the Patriots should smash them.

Personally, I hate seeing things like this--like in 2003 when there were tapes of the staff at Fenway painting World Series logos on the field before the series with the Yankees was over (and they eventually lost, of course). It's the whole "don't count your chickens before they're hatched" thing. However, it's necessary in many cases for logistical reasons: the Sox would have been playing at home in 2 days, they had to have the logos laid down in time to prepare the field for a possible game. In this case, the Patriots feel that trademarking 19-0 is necessary because if they don't do it, someone else will, and there's millions of dollars at stake so you have to look ahead to a possible outcome and ensure that the business side is covered as much as the football side.

But I have to say, just remember that this board would be lit up like a Christmas tree if roles were reversed.

They trade marked because they had too, right? I can easily see where some stupid fan would turn it to some motivational thing, just like a lot of Pats fans do indeed do. If they're riled up, cool. Just don't act surprised when the Pats take that prediction and the funeral comments to heart as well.

Actually, now that I stop and think about it, I can't be upset about it. The problem is the intellectual property laws in this country basically mean that the Pats had one of two choices: trademark it before the fact, or not trademark it at all. Under the circumstances, I can hardly blame them for doing it.

That said, if they had done this back, say, Week 3, I would be angry as hell.

In what bizarro universe could the Giants ever be 18-0? This is a once in a lifetime event and the Pats have every right to do what they did. This board is filling up with chicken littles.

What till we whoop their ass tonight, they'll be outta their f^cking tree :singing:

I'm pissed off too. Now I have to burn all these damn T-shirts

It's hard to read the words "very angry" and not see Hans Blix.
